top 10. They've played 107 times in a series that dates back to 1897.
One note we forgot to post: against Texas, Washington didn't allow a sack of starting quarterback Michael Penix for the 10th game out of 13 this season. Penix suffered just five sacks all season.
Today's official, sold-out attendance of 71,321 is the largest home crowd at Husky Stadium since the 2016 USC game (ESPN College GameDay was also at UW that day), when the announced crowd was 72,364.

Utah 0
OSU 3
WSU 7
Oregon 7
Penix is the first FBS quarterback to pass for 4,500-plus yards in back-to-back seasons since Patrick Mahomes of Texas Tech did it in 2015 and 2016. h/t Sean McDonough & ESPN.
UW's Kalen DeBoer has won more national coach of the year awards (and some have yet to be determined/announced) than UW coaches had won in the entire history of the program, combined, prior to this year.
Rome Odunze has just broken the UW single-season receiving yards record. He now has 1,455 receiving yards this year, one more than Reggie Williams' record, set in 2002 (1,454).
Regardless of the outcome of the Rose Bowl, Washington will finish the 2022 season with the best overall record in the Pac-12, at 11-2 (.846).
UW will tie for most wins among Pac-12 programs, and every other team lost more than 2 games in 2022.
Tonight, Washington's Michael Penix Jr. won the Maxwell Award, Kalen DeBoer won Home Depot Coach of the Year, and both Penix (1st team) and Rome Odunze (2nd) made Walter Camp All-America.
Washington's Michael Penix Jr. just became the second Husky ever to pass for 4,000 yards in a season. He has 4,011 yards, second only to Cody Pickett's 4,458 in 2002.
Over its last 5 games of the season, which included 4 games vs. ranked teams (2 of them in top-10),

averaged 162.0 rush yds./game.
Among those teams were Utah (

Next Monday's CFP Championship Game will mark the first time ever that UW has played in a No. 1 vs. No. 2 game.
UW has played as the AP's No. 1 ranked team 15 times, and has played against a No. 1-ranked opponent 13 times, but never a No. 1 vs. a No. 2.
UW's 713 yards of total offense are second-most in Husky history, behind only 734 vs. San Jose State in 1996 (the game in which Corey Dillon rushed for 222 in the 1st quarter). It's also the most total offense ever vs. an MSU team. The previous high was 666, by Nebraska in 1995.
Washington held Utah, which had scored 28 points and passed for 238 yards in the first half, to no points and 29 passing yards in the second. The Utes had no pass yards in the fourth quarter.
Respectfully, in the 2018 Pac-12 Championship Game, UW beat Utah, 10-3, with the only TD a 66-yd. INT return from Byron Murphy.
The 2001 Michigan game was the last time in a regular-season game.

Apropos of nothing, of the 119 players on the current UW football roster, 102 have attended no 4-year college other than UW, and a total of 35 are in their 4th, 5th or 6th year at Washington.
Washington finished the 2022 season with an 11-2 record, marking just the 5th time in school history that the Huskies have reached 11 wins. Others: 11-1 in 1984; 12-0 in 1991; 11-1 in 2000; 12-2 in 2016. Never before had UW won more than 8 games under a first-year head coach.
Penix also broke Marques Tuiasosopo's long-standing, single-game total offense record. Penix had 516 passing and 13 rushing yards for 529 yards of total offense. Against Stanford in 1999, Tuiasosopo rushed for 207 yards and passed for 302, for 509 total.

As others have pointed out, not only has UW RS-sophomore Zion Tupuola-Fetui been named Pac-12 Defensive Lineman of the Week three games in a row, those three games are the first three starts of his career.
New NCAA stats rankings are out.
Washington continues to be No. 1 in FBS in passing offense. The Huskies are also No. 2 in both first downs and third-down conversion percentage.
Rome Oduzne finished with a career-high 161 receiving yards. UW has had four DIFFERENT wide receivers record a 100-yard game in just four games this season, as Jalen McMillan, Ja'Lynn Polk and Giles Jackson have all surpassed 100 yards in a game.
Thru 3 weeks, UW's Pac-12 & NCAA-FBS team offensive rankings:
Pass offense: 1st in Pac-12/2nd in FBS

3rd-down conversion %: 1st/8th
UW also leads Pac-12 in rush defense, 2nd in total defense.
Michael Penix Jr. just broke the UW's single-season passing yards record, with 4,460. The previous record of 4,458 yards, set by Cody Picket in 2002, had stood for 20 years. Pickett and Penix are the only two Huskies to surpass 4,000 yards in a season.
Washington hasn't played a ranked, Power-5, non-conference opponent in Husky Stadium since 2010.

-ranked Michigan State visits this Saturday afternoon.
Having earned a first-team spot on the Walter Camp, Associated Press and Sporting News All-America teams, Rome Odunze is the 23rd consensus All-America selection in UW history.
Washington is the first team in the 12-team era of the

conference (2011-) to finish the regular season unbeaten. The last team in conference history to go unbeaten through the regular season was Oregon in 2010.
That TD pass gives Michael Penix, Jr. 302 passing yards in this game.
Penix is the first Husky ever to pass for 300 or more yards in eight consecutive games. Cody Pickett had 7 in a row to start the 2002 season.
As of 7:00 am PT this morning, here are the 34 former UW football players currently on NFL rosters. Congrats to Andre Baccellia, who was activated for Cards opener. (source: NFL team website rosters).
In the updated NCAA-FBS rankings, UW QB Michael Penix Jr. leads the nation in passing yards and passing yards per game, and is 5th in passing TDs and in completions per game.
Updating the UW record book, during which this interesting but obscure stat of the day came up.
UW defenders have 321 yds in INT returns this year, 4th/most in history.
Opponents have 0 yds in INT returns. Previous low was 25, in 1988.
Thru 9 games, Michael Penix Jr. has passed for 3,232 yards this season, already good for THIRD on the UW single-season passing yards list, trailing only Cody Pickett (4,458 in 2002) and Jake Browning (3,430 in 2016).

Football Team honorees. These student-athlete honorees are led by the four Academic All-Americans of the Year (in their respective divisions): ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Did you know: Texas WR Jaden Alexis is the son of former UW tailback Rich Alexis.
Here's Rich's first-ever college TD, a memorable one his freshman year in the 2000 Miami game at Husky Stadium:
The most famous UW win vs. ASU came in 1998, in the season-opener. Down 3, a botched pitch led to a 4th-and-17 at the UW 37.
Then, Brock Huard hit TE Reggie Davis with "The Miracle in the Desert," a 63-yd. TD:
With 238 passing yards tonight, Michael Penix Jr. has thrown for 3,470 yards this season, moving past Jake Browning (3,430 in 2016) for the No. 2 spot in Washington single-season history.
Johnson's 256 rushing yards were fifth-most ever by a Husky, and most since Chris Polk went for 284 in the 2010 Apple Cup vs. WSU. The other three higher totals: Hugh McElhenny, 296 vs. WSU, 1950; Corey Dillon, 259 vs. Oregon, 1996; and Credell Green, 258 vs. WSU, 1955.
With seven points in the first half (2 FGs, 1 PAT), Washington kicker Peyton Henry now has an even 400 career points.
He's only the 4th player in Pac-12 history to score 400 or more points.
Washington's nine victories this year under Kalen DeBoer are the most in program history in a coach's 1st season in charge. The previous high came in 2014, when Chris Petersen led the Huskies to an 8-6 record (aided by an additional game, at Hawai'i, which the Huskies won).

Individually, Michael Penix Jr. remains No. 1 in FBS in pass yards and pass yards/game. He's also No. 2 in total offense, No. 3 in completions/game and No. 11 in passing TDs.
Washington has won eight straight games against teams ranked in the AP Top 25, the second-longest such current streak. Only Georgia (11) has a longer streak, and next after UW is Arizona, with four.

Husky cornerback Davon Banks (
@davon_banks5
) was credited with four pass break-ups vs. Boise State. He is tied with four others for the NCAA-FBS lead, but the other four players have each played two games.
The fumble by Dillon Johnson was the first LOST fumble by a UW running back since the arrival of head coach Kalen DeBoer and his staff.
UW got the ball back on an OSU fumble two plays later, and scored on the ensuing drive.
UW receiver Rome Odunze notched the eighth 100-yard receiving game of the season, finishing the game with seven catches for 120 yards, and two touchdowns. For the season, Odunze now has 1,326 yards, second in UW single-season history.
A long thread, for those who are really into UW football stats/history.
Through just four games in 2022, Washington has four different players reach 100 yards receiving in a single game (notably, the four 100-yard games are over the course of just three games):
