It staggers me how many racecourses still don’t get it why encouraging syndicates to bring more than a handful of their members Racing is good for our sport? We need racing to be accessible to everyone and syndicates are bringing in so many new faces from all backgrounds.

Not a single race @UttoxeterRaces today worth over £5,000 to the winner. In my view, they should not be allowed to race on a Sunday when they are offering peanuts. It costs extra for owners, is inconvenient for stable staff yet makes fortunes in media rights for @arenaracingco .

I have firm views that racecourses should not be racing in prime slots at weekends unless they put on ‘reasonable ‘ prizemoney (weekend minimum values should be much higher). As such, I have asked our trainers not to enter @LingfieldPark @ayrracecourse @WindsorRaces this weekend.

For those having a go at the Mares race, remember what a race it was last year and what it is doing for mares in general. There is now increased demand to race them and it is crucially supporting the NH breeding industry which are the roots of the whole sport.

Huge sympathy with all the nurses on strike today. It might seem small but one thing, on the subject, that I feel especially strong about is that nurses need to pay for parking when they park cars at hospitals. This comes out of taxed income and surely isn’t right?

We are not running our @HotToTrotRacing filly @ThirskRaces in the fillies maiden on Tuesday due to their poor effort on prizemoney. British Racing is not sustainable without proper investment / effort and Thirsk are not pulling their weight in my opinion.

For me, this is a result of these top races closing so early. £2450 to enter May 11th, £2800 June 8th & a further £1750 today. That’s enough to put off plenty of non-billionaire owners with borderline horses. We didn’t put #SirBusker in the Sussex @Goodwood_Races because of this.

For any syndicator / anyone involved in syndicates, I can tell you the @TheRCA intends on keeping the rule of a maximum six badges after May 17th. It’s a ridiculous decision & a disaster for syndicates. I would suggest anyone affected make touch with them or racecourses direct.

I think breeders should issue a reverse contract to stallion handlers whereby if stallions cover more than a certain number of mares, the stud fee is reduced by a certain percentage!

3 jumps meetings tomorrow with 15 out of 21 races having 7 or less runners. 2 of the meetings are in the afternoon and, between them, contain only 2 races worth over £10k (£5k to the winner) in total. Too much jumps racing for this time of year & too little money for prime slots.

Every race today @LeicesterRaces , bar the opening Novice which has @BritishEBF sponsorship, is being run at minimum value ie no executive contribution. Thankfully this evening @ChesterRaces , every race has significant EC. Well done Chester!!

Just been to my first days racing since March and hats off to @Goodwood_Races for a fantastic experience, a real effort has been made for owners which I know was hugely appreciated by all that were there. A very surreal day that I won’t forget in a while! Thank you 👏🏻

Relieved not to be associated with this organisation any longer. They do not represent owners as they should or act in the best interests of the sport. They are also worryingly close to ARC. To think they are at the top table of British Racing is scary.
