The Teal is Iroquois Territory, the Black is where Iroquois Artifacts have been found, the Red is some of our oldest Stories have been Traced to. If you look at the Blue line it clearly shows we followed a Waterway, Going from Lake to Lake Area. River by River.

this Pre-Columbian trade routes in the Western US is well done. i wish it incorporated every trade route, not just the Western half. we Eastern Woodlands Groups got some of our Blue Pigments from trades with Southeastern groups who got them from trades with groups out West.

We Iroquois got the name from our Rival Cousins, the Algonquin. It comes from the Algonquin word Irinakhoiw "Adder" or "Rattlesnake" After French contact the "OIS" was added to the end. Irinakhoiw-ois and the name Iroquois came to be. We are the Haudenosaunee, Childrens of Dawn.

its only "speculative" as to why it was abandoned to Non-Natives, we had to leave due to a plethora of reasons, it also wasnt 1350 when we left, Cahokia remained a place of Worship until the 1700s. its decline came in the 1300s.
