No, there will not be. Whoever loses the election will call and congratulate the winner. Then we’ll work together to build a more perfect union like patriots who love our democracy.
Last night, the full anti-First Amendment agenda of the DFL trifecta was on display in the Minnesota House. They want a government database of unpopular speech, such as whether you love J.K. Rowling or theorize that Covid-19 was leaked from a lab.
I offered an amendment to fix
Rep. Vang has a provision in the Judiciary Bill that creates a government database of “hate incidents” (not crimes, which are already tracked).
Rep. Vang says “hate incidents” could include:
- Writing an article saying COVID came from China
- Wearing a “I ♥️ JK Rowling” shirt
In fact, your administration has been in the business of stifling First Amendment freedoms. A partial list:
- attempting to weaponize human rights act to override faith teachings of churches & other faith communities
- launching a surveillance database to track speech you don’t
In Minnesota, we're not in the business of stifling First Amendment freedoms. That’s not what Minnesotans do – and that's not what Americans do.
We’re working to put an end to book bans based on ideology.
BREAKING: Minnesota House Democrats just scheduled two bills for the floor for Monday (HF 4300 & HF 601), which would make it harder to defend your home against home invaders and criminalize gun theft victims.
Cutting through the smokescreens, here’s what is really happening: Democrats trying to make it harder for you to protect yourself in your home, with the deciding vote to be cast by a Senator charged with burglary, out on bail.
🚨🚨
@mnhouseDFL
continues the effort to make it harder to protect yourself from burglaries in your home. Deciding vote would be cast by Sen. Mitchell, out on bail, facing felony burglary charges.

Apparently the Democrats’ plan will be to pass these bills, making Minnesotans more vulnerable to home invasions, with the deciding vote cast by an admitted home invader.
My press statement:
“This lawsuit is one of numerous legal challenges we can expect as a result of the extreme laws passed by Minnesota Democrats this year despite constitutional concerns. During a House floor debate, Democrats admitted they were targeting certain colleges based

for having me on to discuss the speech surveillance database that Minnesota Democrats are trying to pass into law. I had to wake up early but it’s so worth it to get the word out about our 1st Amendment rights!
Unmentioned: Gov. Walz’s bill funds a rebranded “bias registry” he requested: a government speech database that tramples on our First Amendment rights. That doesn’t make Minnesota better!
I broke it down on Monday, reading from his own budget request.
Gov. Walz signs Public Safety bill that included Red Flag Protection Orders and Universal Background Checks. Victims, survivors, advocates, lawmakers on hand.
I’m a hard no on the Democrat plan for billions in tax hikes with a record-breaking surplus, with devastating changes designed to harm charities like the Anoka-Ramsey Athletic Association.

The surplus was about $9 billion when
@GovTimWalz
tweeted this, promising $2000 checks to Minnesotans.
The surplus grew to $17.5 billion a month later, and Minnesotans are ending this session with a measly $260.

Big win for the constitution! The Minnesota AG's office has agreed to a preliminary injunction halting enforcement of the unconstitutional PSEO law during litigation.
Republicans in the legislature tried to help with the "homework," but the DFL trifecta wouldn't listen.
Minnesota didn’t do its homework when it passed this unconstitutional law, and now the ban’s harmful effects are paused while the case is ongoing. Next the court should strike down the ban for good. Find the court's order here ⬇️

this morning to discuss the proposed speech surveillance database the Democrats are pushing in Minnesota.
House Republicans fought to increase the penalty for straw purchasers on the Floor today.
Rep Niska: "This is real simple... if you learned anything from Burnsville, make straw purchasing a felony so that our state prosecutors can prevent the next Burnsville. Vote yes."
Minnesotans are noticing that the Democrat trifecta was reckless and irresponsible. They put our state on an unsustainable path and we need a course correction. It starts this November.
Bottom line: If someone is running a multi-million dollar fraud, and they sue to keep the fraud going, the only responsible course of action is to fight them on every hill. Walz & Ellison did the opposite. It’s time for new, responsible leaders to steward our state resources.
This appears to be the order Walz admin is referencing. “Stipulated” means that the Walz administration previously agreed to the order that they were not complying with. If that’s the refutation, seems Judge Guthmann is right and Walz is not.
Here’s what you need to know about Minnesota’s mainstream media.
They still are running a total blackout on the shameful House Judiciary hearing discussed below, but they consider it newsworthy when a Republican senator misspeaks in a hearing and immediately apologizes.
Religious freedom is under an unprecedented attack in Minnesota. Last week a fundamental consensus was broken, and the foundations of the 1st Amendment are threatened. Please listen, get informed, and get active.

Very grateful for so many kind words of encouragement as Minnesota House Republicans work to expose what the Democrat trifecta is jamming through at breakneck speed. We need your help!
Please chip in to support:
Our constitution and rule of law are foundational to our way of life. I could not support the DFL’s omnibus bill today because of its provisions that undercut our fundamental Constitutional rights, like a government speech registry.
In a shocking hearing today, several DFL members of the Judiciary Committee openly stated they want to impose their religious views on Minnesota’s faith community. The Walz administration and DFL majority is refusing to clarify the religious protections in the MHRA as requested
I know this doesn’t fit the headline, but I’m curious why the reporter doesn’t mention my legal credentials in an article about “expert” speculation of future court cases.
Also missing some context about the two quoted “experts,” such as (1) the law prof was the DFL’s expert
Republicans claim a pending change to MN's Human Rights Act will protect pedophiles - legal experts dispute that.
@rochelleolson
fact checked that claim:
As I said in the shameful Leap Day hearing, the mask is off.
It’s now up to Governor Walz & the rest of the Minnesota Democrat Trifecta: do you want religious communities that disagree with this view to be “fully and completely dismantled”?
Thanks to the feds for taking this seriously. Unfortunately, Minnesota state law doesn't.
Republicans have been asking to toughen penalties on straw purchases, w/ bills like this one:
MN Dems won't even give these bills a hearing. Why?
As a result of new language on gender identity passed last year, congregations and religious schools can now be targets of discrimination claims for upholding their views on sex and gender. Hoping this was an oversight, Minnesota faith groups asked to clarify the religious
BOTTOM LINE TAKEAWAY
I've been asked a few times what my bottom line is from yesterday, and it's this:
If you are a Minnesotan who values freedom of speech, thought, and conscience, you should really consider being a single-issue voter for at least the next two elections.
For more on why all Minnesotans should be concerned about this type of government speech surveillance, I did a video last week discussing the parallels between this proposal and the House DFL’s effort to silence and intimidate

program will cost at least $600 million more than expected in first 3 years and payroll tax will be up to 31% higher. That's probably low end and assumes the state completes the IT build out on budget - not betting on it.

This session has definitely been “historic” and “transformational,” and today will go down in history as marking the full transformation of the DFL Party from a “pro-choice” party to a pro-abortion party.
Important religious freedom update!
Tonight, the Senate judiciary committee will be considering the religious liberty fix that has generated a lot of discussion and concern. I’m keeping an eye on it!
More details in the video:
If the concern is getting “complete information” and “actual evidence” out, there is one person with the power to release the body cam footage: Senator Mitchell.
New: Sen. Mitchell releases statement via her attorney reiterating that she does not intend to resign. Says critics are "attempting to use a tragic family situation to score political points" + is confident that "much different picture will emerge when all the facts are known."
According to Minnesota Democrats, you are now a “Christian nationalist” if you believe the state of Minnesota should not dictate religious views about sex & gender to a mosque, synagogue, church, or religious school.
One of the testifiers who spoke in defense of religious liberty at yesterday's House Judiciary Committee hearing was the president of the Islamic Center of Minnesota. According to Democrat Leigh Finke, he's a Christian nationalist.
Walter is being too humble here. He was sounding the alarm on this speech registry several weeks ago when the bill came before a committee he was on and spoke eloquently on the floor. Proud of our

Thank you for highlighting how the Minnesota Democrats’ agenda is infused with a fundamental hostility towards capitalism & free markets. Socialism is not the answer.
The quoted comment had nothing to do with the transfer of power, it was about the auto industry. The suggestion otherwise by the Governor of Minnesota is highly irresponsible and dangerous.
I agree with
@HarryNiska
- I'm concerned about having the state keep a database of perceived biased speech. It dovetails with the new Star Tribune publisher apologizing: we are obsessed with policing speech instead of arguing it out. DriveTime:
It was an honor to be able to attend this memorial service honoring these heroes. I’m profoundly saddened by their loss, but so inspired by their example.

As we warned, this unconstitutional legislation was successfully challenged. Eventually, the state will be forced to pay the challengers’ legal bills. Nobody wins except for the politicians and the lawyers.

called it out then – and now, my home state is wholly unrecognizable.
Sadly, this bill is more accurately called the “Democrats Rule the People Act,” because it is one party choosing who gets to speak in our marketplace of ideas, as I explained last night. More trampling on our First Amendment rights by the Ruling Trifecta.
This legislative session, we’re putting up a firewall to keep Minnesota’s elections safe, free, and fair. Looking forward to signing the Democracy for the People Act into law.
Justice prevailed today in Hennepin County! City Council candidate Victor Martinez finally had his day in court on the unjust restraining order brought against him by the Minneapolis DFL establishment. At the end of petitioner’s case, the court granted our motion to dismiss! I
🚨BREAKING -- TOM EMMER has told members of the House Republican Conference that he will seek the nomination for speaker.
The Minnesotan is currently the No. 3 House Republican.
He'll immediately become the frontrunner in this race.
I was proud to stand and speak out for religious freedom and against the shameful & unconstitutional targeting by the DFL of two specific faith-based institutions in the PSEO program. Disappointed that none of them would stand with us.
We're currently standing for a call of division on the House floor, waiting for several minutes as the majority stalls to get their scattered members back in the chamber.
We're standing for religious freedom as Democrats target private Christian schools.
Advanced warning, LONG TWEET - Why am I so fired up? Why speak now? The MN Democrats crossed the line that’s why. (Yes it was 100% Democrats that voted, voiced these thoughts and stood together in lock step to not give religious organizations an exemption to a really bad law.)
