@LloydCymru
's daily updates on the spread of Coronavirus in Wales, they're worth looking out for.
It's remarkable how a 16-year-old working from his bedroom has out-done the Welsh Government in communicating the situation to the public.
It's very simple: all education in Wales from nursery up to A-level should be in Welsh.
The most successful education system in Europe is Estonia, where they do exactly this - in a language spoken by about the same number of people who speak Welsh.
Prince of Wales will sadly be 'rooting' for England in Qatar he says. In the meantime, everybody else associated with Wales will all be rooting for Cymru!
☺️
Hordes of holiday-home owners fleeing to rural Wales to seek refuge from COVID-19, and threatening both to spread the virus and overwhelm local health services, highlight how poorly the tourist industry serves the interests of Wales as a whole.
Wholesale reform is needed.
A made-in-Wales blood test, which tells you whether you’ve had coronavirus, will be available to the UK.
Pencoed based

This is an important step in our efforts to keep Wales safe.
Should Wales join the ranks of nations that have more than one city to fulfil the role of Capital?
It would stop Cardiff becoming a mini-London where all the power and money is concentrated.
Maybe Aberystwyth, maybe Machynlleth - who'd like to make the case for somewhere else?
Too many Welsh independence supporters live in an echo chamber where they only interact with people who agree with them.
If we can keep the Welsh independence 'r' rate above 1 - every supporter persuading at least one other person - then the cause will triumph easily.
Swansea Bay Lagoon - cost 1.3 billion - Heathrow 3rd Runway - cost 14 billion.
Guess which one is cancelled due to high cost and environmental reasons?
Simple - the one in Wales!!!
The testing on this 'mud' was taken from only 5cm depth. But the poisonous heavy metals (clue in the name) will sink. What are they sending us? Why is only

@YesCymru
Does anyone seriously believe that the UK government is going to electrify the North Wales main line, when they have still not electrified the South Wales main line despite it serving a much larger population?
We don't.
Today is a fateful day for Plaid Cymru and Rhun ap Iorwerth.
Supporting Labour in the Senedd has been a betrayal of Wales's interests on a par with the Blue Books. But today there's an opportunity to make amends by refusing to endorse Vaughan Gething as First Minister.
On 20mph zones he can't make up his mind whether the pretext is road safety or net zero; while on a North-to-South link, he seems to cite aesthetics.
But poverty kills far more people than cars or climate change, and good infrastructure can be beautiful.
Westminster is a joke - a collection of over-priveleged and second rate public schoolboys indulging in bizarre 18th century pantomine to indulge their naive political fantasies.
Time to press the reset button.

@YesCymru
How about spending a little bit of that on testing the radioactive mud to be dumped near Cardiff. There is a marine environment there as well...
#GeigerBay
Today I am pleased to announce €4.3m of EU funding to develop advanced marine monitoring systems in the Irish Sea. Preserving our marine environment in Wales and Ireland for economic prosperity and enjoyment is vitally important.
#EUIrelandWales
So UK government departments removed their Union Jack to replace it with the English Cross.
But Welsh Office removed Y Ddraig Goch and left Union Jack in place!
Can Alun Cairns sink any lower?
Almost 30% of the population of Wales was born outside the country, the fourth highest proportion in Europe after Andorra, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein.
Even allowing for Powys mothers who are sent to Shrewsbury to give birth, this is not a healthy situation for any nation.
They call themselves the 'Abolish the Welsh Assembly Party', which is hard to do as it doesn't exist any more; but it's obvious that what they really want to do is abolish Wales itself.
But they may turn out to give the independence movement a massive boost.
An independent Wales with its own Central Bank would be every bit as able to raise emergency funding to deal with emergencies such as Covid-19. It's nonsense to think that we owe any gratitude to the UK government for doing what any normal country can do for itself.
After hundreds of years of being in the Union, leaving us as the poorest part of the Union and one of the poorest places is Western Europe, it is surely clear by now that the answer to Wales's problems is not "more Union".
300,000 people in Wales signing a petition against a policy of the Cardiff Bay Government is an astonishing development.
Whatever the merits of the 20mph policy itself, it shows people are finally engaging with Welsh politics - which is long overdue.
What's striking about this is that it lists a whole set of *policies*, but not a single actual *achievement*.
For example, "free prescriptions" is just a policy. "Better health outcomes" would be an achievement, but they haven't done that.
And so on...
Brilliant win - but spoiled by making him stand and listen to the royal dirge under the imperial flag. But well rescued by Geraint...a true patriot. We need more like him and Gareth Bale.
For the record, we deplore the
@theSNP
's new Hate Crime legislation in Scotland; we totally oppose the introduction of any such laws in Wales.
Governments should concentrate on nurturing a strong economy and protecting citizens' safety - not policing their thoughts.
33% is the highest figure ever recorded in support of Welsh Independence.
It can only be described as a fantastic launching pad.
To put this in context, the Scottish YES percentage at the start of their Independence Referendum campaign in 2014 was 25%
There can be few better tributes to Eddie Butler than the fact that news of his passing led to Welsh independence being mentioned on Radio 4, in this week of all weeks.
A great Welshman and a true ambassador for Wales.
Some have suggested that property owners who want to change the property's name from Welsh to English should be charged a £10,000 fee for doing so.
We say no to that. Not at any price. Our heritage is not for sale.
The backbone to any economy is small businesses. Wales is over reliant on public sector jobs and inward investment for multi national firms. 20 years ago was the time to start growing our backbone, not after 1700 people loose their jobs. We must end the culture of dependency!
It's a disgrace that after 21 years of Labour government in Wales, so little has been done to improve Wales's internal infrastructure. Improving North-South road and rail links has to be a high priority for any party that takes Wales seriously.
READ: Bridging the North-South Divide | The concept of the North-South divide is commonly one we associate with our English neighbour, however, it is one that can also be applied to Wales, writes Meghan Francis.

@SwanUniCons
While the world is distracted by the pandemic, the Labour Party machine that runs Wales for its own benefit has quietly brushed the Carl Sargeant enquiry under the carpet.
All that can be expected of a party that enjoys power without proper scrutiny within the Senedd.
A note to the UK media:
Criticise Mark Drakeford all you like – please. He’s a terrible First Minister and he’s dragging down both our economy and our social fabric.
But you must respect our country and our institutions. Devolution is much more popular than the Labour Party.

Seeing the London media tie themselves in knots over the use of Welsh place names is fascinating.
To see them trying to make out that it's a "woke plot" of some sort sort is bizarre.
There's nothing more conservative than Independence for Wales.
The UK will look very different in 2020. A shambolic Brexit - Indyref2 in Scotland - a reunited Ireland - a despised King Charles III...
Wales must be ready! We need to fight for our very existence - NOW - not when its too late!

We think he's making it all up.
New on our blog today: our in-house civil engineer Mike Murphy writes on a how a new North-to-South rail route, opening up areas of Wales not currently served by trains at all, could be built for a fraction of the cost of Wales's contribution to HS2.
What Arthur Scargill and Margaret Thatcher did to the Welsh miners in the 1980s, Mark Drakeford and his henchmen (and women) seem determined to do to Welsh farmers in the 2020s.
Wales needs to fight back. We'll be starting at the Winter Fair in Llanelwedd this week.
'We either need to find a chiropractor who can identify a backbone within the Senedd, or vote in other people next year.
'We say to people you should try GWLAD, we tell it as is, we owe no favours to anyone other than the Welsh people'.
New towns are in the news at the moment.
In 1964 there was a plan to build a large new city in Caersws in the Severn Valley, to resettle people from England's midlands. It was successfully stopped.
Wales's planning must reflect Wales's priorities, not England's.
First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones at today’s renaming of the Second Severn Crossing says “the removal of the tolls is a hugely important removal of a psychological and economic barrier” for those looking to invest and visit Wales.

Support for independence has doubled in one year - despite very little public discussion.
Lets now discuss it openly & publically at every possible opportunity - and make independence a reality!
Support for Welsh independence is surging. People across the country want to stand on our own two feet and build a strong and confident nation

Here is a definition of a ‘Champagne Socialist’.
@RhonddaBryant
, Rhondda MP made £650,000 selling flats that us, the taxpayer, helped him to buy. Is this acceptable? Shouldn’t our taxes be going towards our national interests?
Tourism is not working for Wales; it represents at most 6% of our economy, but gets in the way of the other 94% by clogging our roads and blighting our environment.
We want Wales to have a healthy and viable tourist industry, but things must change.
Devolution was supposed to give us Government of Wales by the Welsh for the Welsh.
Instead we have deeply entrenched colonialism...fronted by 'Welsh' politicians answering to their London masters - and implemented by English civil servants.
We need

@WelshGovernment
Why are almost all senior civil servants in Wales non-Welsh, answering to London bosses?
Apart from putting a Welsh gloss on this system do the AMs we elect have any purpose at all?
Is devolution just one big con?

An important message to Plaid Cymru voters.
We deliberately haven't stood in seats that Plaid are expected to win. If you want to support your Plaid constituency candidate, do so.
But for the sake of the wider movement, give Gwlad your Second Vote.
Yesterday it was renaming Severn Bridge - today imposing a royal palace - tommorrow an investiture. We dont want any of it. Join Ein Gwlad to fight back!

The BBC's leaders debate last night clearly prioritised entertainment and propaganda above any attempt to be informative.
Though Abolish's Richard Suchorzewski managed to make even Andrew RT Davies look statesmanlike. Quite a feat.
Some Welsh politicians are complaining about cut in MPs from 40 to 29. They should be complaining that we will still have 29 of them....
The ideal number is ZERO!

The Coronavirus crisis forces us to rethink the role of tourism in Wales.
Can we replace the low-value seasonal employment it generates with a higher-value economy in our rural areas?

Well said. Closed lists are a scandal, a stitch-up and a disgrace. The present generation of Plaid Cymru politicians should be ashamed for having supported them.
W-EXIT THE FOCUS FOR GWLAD
GWLAD, Gwlad will stand in the 4 'abandoned' seats at the election on December 12.
GWLAD will stand in Montgomery, Brecon and Radnor, Cardiff Central and Vale of Glamorgan-abandoned by Plaid in their 'remain pact' with LD's & Greens.

The Police powers bill going through Parliament today is one of the most draconian laws to be seen in the UK for a long time, on a par with the SNP's illiberal 'hate speech' laws in Scotland. If we value free speech in Wales we must go for independence.
VILLAGE BUY-UP PLAN IS ON
A NATIONAL campaign to buy a Welsh village up for sale has been launched this week.
GWLAD leader Gwyn Wigley Evans said the party is willing to co-ordinate the effort to raise £1.25m to buy Aberllefenni, near Corris.
…
We know with 100% certainty, with evidence from all over the world, that pupils are disadvantaged when raised in a monolingual environments.
English-only education needs to be phased out in all of Wales.

The onus is on YES Cymru, Gwlad and the WNP to show that a more decent type of political model can be home built here in Wales.
Otherwise, ordinary people will just be as disillusioned and disengaged from politics as they are right now.
Wales has hundreds of thousands of people dependent on food banks, yet all the Cardiff Bay Government wants to do is to make food more expensive for everyone while further impoverishing Wales's rural communities.
Welsh agriculture needs to move away from livestock farming and people need to eat less meat and more plant-based food to help the nation achieve net zero, according to a major new report ✍
@ShiptonMartin
"The whole situation is typical of Labour’s love for grandstanding and virtue-signalling rather than addressing Wales’s real needs."
"They could save 375 lives every year in Blaenau Gwent alone if they seriously addressed the effects of poverty in Wales"

Today we join with the great majority of Welsh people, Nationalist and Unionist alike, in sending our condolences to Her Majesty the Queen on the death of Prince Philip today.
His was a long life, well-lived, and a great example of duty and fortitude for those in public life.
With opinion polls in Scotland showing a settled majority in favour of Independence, and the Welsh Independence movement seeming to gain ground rapidly, we all need to be disciplined and keep our eyes on the prize.
It seems that a sale has been agreed on Aberllefenni, but Gwlad will be redoubling its campaign to prevent Welsh villages being eroded by holiday homes and to keep Wales's communities as viable places to live and work.
We welcome new members who support our objective of a fair and prosperous independent Wales.
But today we had to refuse membership to someone with a recent conviction for a racially-motivated assault.
We are determined to have no association with the far Left or far Right.
