's next map iteration! This time we're experimenting with some non-enterable structures to increase performance and make towns bigger. We're also working to make looting less repetitive. Check out our progress on the new map's big city! 🏙️

will become Free to Play on July 1st, 2022! The game may not be as complete as we would like, but we have big plans for the future, and it's time everyone had a chance to play!

Alpha v1.0 will be

's largest update yet! ETA is unknown, but it will include cars/boats, firearm animations, skins, a new inventory UI, a new version of the map, and more. New locations will be added, including the Oil Rig. Check out the progress!

Alpha, here's a peek at the long-awaited prison island! We're also working on the new vaulting/climbing system, which will make windows much less frustrating to traverse. Vehicle physics and general performance has also been a focus. Stay tuned!
After five long years of work, today I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Video Game Design! My days of lectures and assignments are over. I'm looking forward to finally being able to work on Apocalypse Rising 2 full time!

Alpha! Here's a peek at what we're calling the "Smugglers Airfield". The island will support a few other small unique locations as well. We're also working on some other aspects of the map, so please offer some suggestions!
We have been conducting a lot of internal tests on the upcoming

update! Major performance issues have been fixed, but unfortunately it still isn't stable enough for release. Work has continued elsewhere, as always. Check out the map, and the new island!

My beloved cat died today. For two and a half years, Pickles rarely left my side. In the little time when he wasn't on my desk, in my arms, or at my feet, he was outside exploring and bringing shrews to my room. But the nearby road was too dangerous, and nothing will be the same.
One night last week I heard this stray kitten crying outside in the cold, and I somehow managed to bring him in. Just had a check-up - he's healthy, and about 2-3 months old. Everyone, meet Pickles!

Apocalypse Rising is almost 8 years old. We're focusing on Apocalypse Rising 2 because the original game cannot be maintained.
The new map for the
#ApocalypseRising2
Alpha v1.0 update is complete. We have 15 functional vehicles, and all of the new systems/additions implemented. Recently we ran some large-scale tests. We have a few issues to fix first, but we're hoping to ship the update soon!

Trying very hard to implement a new playable island into Apoc 2 Alpha before Christmas! The unique locations for the island won't be ready yet, but they will be added later.
This is highly subject to change, and will likely be edited dramatically in the future.
Check out these new textures for some of Apoc 2's loot!
We're in the process of transitioning to new appearances and names for medical items. The green medkit will replace the "Auto Injector", and the Vitamins will become the new "Stamina Booster", for example.

Alpha v1.0! Work on the new map iteration has already begun, and many players will be happy to know that there will be more land-area to accommodate the addition vehicles. Stay tuned for more information!
We've been a bit slow with the next
#ApocalypseRising2
update because we're sneaking in performance upgrades and some new emergency service buildings to replace the current ones. Here's a peak at some of the new structures! At least three structures in Ashland will be upgraded.
The next update to Apoc 2 Alpha will also include the Geothermal Power Plant! This location will dominate the center of the volcano island. I still can't predict when, but we will release the update as soon as possible. There's still a few small issues to fix!

, there's very little map work left to do. Besides some bugs and feature work, the update is nearly ready!
First look at Apoc 2's WIP oil rig location! This rig will be accessible with or without a boat, but it's possible vehicle/watercraft functionality will be implemented into the game around the time it will be completed. I'm particularly hoping for a working lifeboat, maybe?

's next update! We're almost done with the expansion of the map, but gameplay tweaks are also going well. This update will feature a new recoil system and a rebalance of recoil for all firearms!
