I'm gonna use everyone's favorite answer: It depends! I think emulation is fine for the purpose of accessing games that are region locked or are no longer on the market. Game preservation is important. Emulating newly released games to avoid paying for them, however, is piracy.

Something I like about the design philosophy of Guilty Gear Strive is the "modernization" of the character visuals. The outfits look less from a typical 90s anime and more what you might see in a 2000s anime, like the game evolved with the times. Plus, it's easier to cosplay!
