What an impression these guys made on the little ones in our Treehouse daycare! Sigma Pi fraternity brothers from GVSU donated fun board games to the program and stayed and played for an hour!
Sam Daniels, Class of '14, nominated GHS chemistry teacher Kevin Corfixsen for this special award, & he won! The award honors a K-12 teacher who has inspired students to study math, science & engineering. He will be recognized at a banquet in East Lansing in May.

Go big or go home! AV students created the first-ever whip dub, where a lip dub meets whip panning. GHS students and staff lip-synced songs from the last 30 years, and AV filmed & connected them with whip pans. A big, fun memento for 2019:

🎓 Today, Lou Nichols, age 95, was awarded a GHS honorary diploma by our curriculum director! Lou was drafted into WW II before finishing GHS. After coming home, he went to college but has dreamed about having a GHS diploma. When we found out, we fixed it!

After graduating from basic training with the Marines, AJ Sansoterra, GHS Class of '19, stopped in to visit his former teachers at CPLC. His recommendation to students: “Listen to your teachers. They are trying to help you."
Our science teachers gave a knockout presentation to the board about their plans for the science curriculum in coming years. This shift will mean less memorizing and more problem solving for students, like actual scientists.

To encourage reading, Grand View installed this welcoming reading garden. The community — the Grandville Education Foundation, Boy Scouts, parents, teachers & staff — helped make it possible!
What a meaningful project. Mr. Marvel's STEM students at Grandville Middle School built this wheelchair ramp for a Bulldog family, and staff installed it. 🛠️

Team 81 at GMS decorated lunch sacks, packed 400 snack bags & raised $2419 for Kids' Food Basket. Student Elizabeth Meendering felt so compelled that she collected $1,011 on her own! The students also walked 3 miles to promote awareness about childhood hunger.

The district held important professional development this afternoon. All staff members participated in active threat training, learning the latest strategies to maximize safety in the rare event of an active threat situation.
