After 2 months of having this consume my life, I'm excited to finally unveil the PS2 Eclipse. A PS2 console packed down into a Nintendo Switch style handheld
This little guy has a Wii inside of it, so it plays the entire GameCube library flawlessly thanks to the power of backwards compatibility.
I wish I could take some nicer pictures of it, but it's cold and ugly outside right now.
If you want to see how this thing was made, some more gameplay footage, and the full story of the original render (I tracked down the artist of it), then this YouTube video should help you out:
Everyone knows that Wii Fit was poised to dominate the fitness industry, until someone realized that you could only play Wii Fit inside of a house. Lame.
You are shackled no longer. I am proud to unveil the world's first ever portable Wii Fit machine:
Rather than rely on emulation, the portable has a real PS2 motherboard that has been cut down to the bare essentials. This means that all gameplay runs at full speed and without any glitches.
When the Gods ask for our strongest warriors to fight in the eternal war, I shall enter the fray armed with Atomic Purple Portable GameCube/Wii. For nothing could ever hope to beat Atomic Purple Portable GameCube/Wii.
This design is called the Ashida, and it was designed by a modder named Wesk. It's probably the best beginner build for anyone looking to get into portablizing, check out this thread if you're interested in learning more:
If you want to see more then I've got a YouTube video that covers the build process, the features, and the hottest ginger you've ever seen, so definitely check it out:
Had a commission fall through, so I'm looking for a new home for this portable GameCube/Wii. It's all closed up and ready to ship immediately, more details below
Just finished up this sky blue portable Wii. Finally got a good method down for resin casting the triggers, so they can be nice and glossy like all the other buttons.
This one is up for sale, link below!
Bit of a Hail Mary, but does anyone out there have any info or memories related to the origin of this image? Oldest reference to it found so far was from early May of 2005.
Final Wiiboy Color sale is live now!
Check the post under this for a link with all the details. These 5 mark the end of Wiiboy Colors for quite a while, these things have been no fun.
Finally got to do a Wii themed portable Wii, this one is for
@SomethingelseYT
. This is probably my favorite commission piece thus far, the white on white is just too clean.
I will be attempting a 24 hour stream THIS WEEKEND on my YouTube channel.
It'll have a giveaway, collabs, portable Wiis, and other awesome buzzwords.
See you there!
The only thing better than a YouTube video about a cool portable Wii is a YouTube video about FIVE cool portable Wiis!
I put together five different community designed projects and featured them in my latest video, link below!
Meet the Wiiboy Crystal. The design is GmanModz's, I had the pleasure of assembling it with him and a handful of other modders at
@ShankMods
house and it was a ton of fun. It's the same dimensions as a DMG Gameboy, and houses a real Wii so that there's no emulation innvolved.
I'll be posting one final round of completed Wiiboy Colors for sale tomorrow at 6PM PST.
The prices will be unreasonable, but these are the last Wiiboy Colors I'm ever going to sell. If you've been waiting a long time, this will be your chance to snag one.
Happy 6 year anniversary to first functional portable Wii I ever built. I closed up this Wind Waker themed portable back in 2018, and put more game hours into it than any portable I've built since then. Unfortunately...
I get a lot of questions about Wii trimming and how it's possible, so I uploaded a 6 hour video that gives a full explanation of how Wii trimming works, as well as a demo of trimming a Wii and getting it working again.
Hope this is helpful!
🚨 RED ALERT 🚨 HUGE PROBLEM 🚨
I have a beautiful Ashida case for a portable GameCube/Wii that isn't built yet. This must be changed IMMEDIATELY.
Watch me build it live right now at:
I'm opening a handful of portable GameCube/Wii commission slots. Tuition bill just hit the bank account, and I would like to raise the bank amount before a crisis hits. Link with more details below ~
Got a real resin casting setup this summer and have begun the process of endopeifying all of my controllers.
Videos will resume when every conch I own can be put in an art museum (and I finish this final semester of college)
Going live now with a G-Boy kit build!. I'll attempt to establish a proper speedrunning baseline for anyone who wants to compete in the prestigious world of "building portable Wiis as quickly as possible". Link below!
I'm live streaming a recording for a complete explanation and tutorial of everything related to Wii trimming right now.
If you've got any questions about the process and how it works, drop by and ask questions! Link to stream below
Got a bunch of Wiis that I need to tear apart and mod so I'm starting a career in Wii teardown speedruns.
Will I get WR in my first day!? Will wrist pain force me into an early retirement!?
Find out at:
A couple years later, it accidentally got turned on inside of its carrying case, without a system in place to shut it off if it overheated. It burned itself out and hasn't booted up properly since then. Be sure to hug your projects extra tight tonight in its memory.
This is the Ashida, a portable GameCube/Wii designed by Wesk.
Big thanks to
@PCBWayOfficial
for the pink/white shell, and
@CGCC_Life
for the yummy looking joystick caps.
Another UTR-8100 transparent case from
@PCBWayOfficial
. I'm all wrapped up with commissions, so I'm aiming to have a new YouTube video out by the end of February. Appreciate everyone's patience!
Getting really close to closing up my first commission! The dpad and start button are the wrong colors, but I'll be swapping them out with grey ones to complete the theme before I ship.
I think I've almost acquired a transparent
@PCBWayOfficial
case in every color imaginable, but I'll probably have to build a few more transparent portables just to be sure.
All right, a couple people found the original author and one person tracked down their site from 2006 with this preview image on it. I think I have everything I need to get the full story on this picture, thanks to everyone who looked!
@ShankMods
@NyxiGaming
My Ginger branded gaming controller arrived yesterday and I just love it! I can't imagine using another controller ever, this one just has such nice buttons and looks so good. It is so good at making inputs, I just can't wait to buy more of them!
I left my ice cream sundae in the car and it melted into the shape of a stupid portable Wii case.
Very sad right now! Currently coping by live streaming a build with this new case I guess. Link below.
If you can't figure out for yourself why this was a terrible idea, then go watch my YouTube video that shows everything that went wrong, a wicked montage, and my soon-to-be-fit body:
Doing a bunch of research on this thing for absolutely no reason whatsoever. This is all I could find, so if you've got something to add please let me know:
Congrats to Bill for winning the giveaway! I'll be sending them all the parts for them to build an Ashida with soon.
Also the 24 hour stream vod wasn't saved to YouTube, because they limit vods to be 12 hours long. I'll upload it in a few parts over the next week.
The world's

Louie fan is building a Bulborb/Pikmin themed portable live on stream RIGHT NOW!
Link in the replies because apparently that matters for the Twitter algorithm or something this website sucks!
