Fmr, Military Head of States; Federal Republic of Nigeria 1985 - 1993 || Rtd General || GCFR || Elder Statesman || Tweets are not signed - IBB *PARODY*
Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo will forever be a true elder statesman and a boss in the military. No serving General in the Nigerian Army today joined the military earlier than 1982. By then, Obasanjo had already finished his military career. I respect him a lot, with his endorsement.
Once again, I will like to quote the Late Usman Dan Fodiyo, who said “The death of thousand good men is not as tragic as having an unfit man in a position of National leadership“.
All the current Presidential Aspirants and candidates have my blessings. I am not supporting anyone, but I will obidently wish all of them the very bests in the forth coming elections.
I am not against any political party or any political candidate; however, if the reason you want to attain the role of leadership is because you think it’s your turn; or it should remain in a certain geo-political zone. You don’t have my support. I am who I am.

I will not pretend I don’t know what Nigerians are going through in this present moment. However, as an Elder Statesman, I will like to quote my boss, Gen. Olusegun Obasanjo, Who said 'I will die for my country Nigeria, but not for my party and ethnicity'.
It has been brought to my understanding that Atiku cannot travel to some part of the world; well, I think I will prefer a President who will spend most of his time dealing with Nigerians in Nigeria, not a someone who already knows the route to all the countries like a Pilot.
To stage a coup, there has to be a frustration in the society. In the military, we find coup easier when there is frustration in the society, most especially when elections are rigged and the government lacks legitimacy. Our Judiciary does not endorse illegitimacy.
Any person, groups, political party chieftains or motorist hooligan; that is planning to disrupt the peace of our forthcoming elections; I am supporting the President by enforcing military forces to such individuals or groups. Commander, your boys are good to go.
This is 21st century; INEC must ensure they deliver a free and fair election to Nigerians by letting people’s mandate and choices prevail. I don’t want no excuse INEC, we are observing.
For a coup to be staged; 78% of a country’s citizens must have expressed their frustrations to the government; after that, we proceed to have a Military Takeover. Recent stats indicates that 80% of Nigerians are happy and ready to support the government which is commendable.
I have listened to
#TheAtikuPlan
and I am really impressed. I think Atiku Abubakar has the right objectives for the next leadership. His passion towards eradicating poverty & interest in securing the lives of Nigerians is worth admiring. For these, we shall Atikulate together.
I am not against any political party or any political candidate; but if the change I saw in the last 4 years is what they are promising in the next 4 years; they can as well keep their CHANGE.
One of the few reasons I admire Atiku is because he is one of the very few politicians who has a lot of investments in Nigeria; for some of these reasons, he has my blessings. We shall Atikulate together in 2019, my congratulations to him.
Rather than suspending the Senator, I would have expected the house to imploy due diligence by setting up a committee to conduct a pragmatic investigation and look into the matter raised by the Senator, then display the transparency of the outcome to Nigerians they represents.
When my administration created jobs like “NDLEA, SSS, FRSC, NDIC” & more for unemployed youths & approved projects like the 3rd Mainland Bridge in Lagos among others; I did all these to meet the request of Nigerians. Anyone that will get Nigeria working again has my full support.
My relationship with the President remains intact before now and always; but the interest and the voice of Nigerians is paramount to everyone of us. If the passengers of a commercial bus tells the conductor to keep the change because they want to come down, so be it.
When I approved the construction of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos among many projects; I wasn’t doing it for Nigerians to give me accolades; I was only doing my job in making life easier for Nigerians. Yet IBB is the bad man, but they forgot his achievements.
Until a Nigerian citizen exercising his/her peaceful protest is not scared of being arrested, harassed or disrupted by any security operative or a government official; the work of Nigeria’s democracy is not complete.
I urge the federal government to look into the current high cost of foods and shelter among Nigerians; no nation can survive when human necessity are on the rise while the income of many are gradually declining.
I expressed my profound wishes to the President because he is currently the number 1 citizen of our great nation; a statesman, and also remains a co-retired General in the Military. However, I am not supporting his 2nd term ambition. I stand on my words, I am who I am.
If you have performed as much as you think you did, the people will vote you back to power if your tenure deserves a second term. Elections shouldn’t be a do or die affair.
I can categorically say that a whole lot of Nigerians are suffering and a change is needed at this point in time. I’m not talking of a change that was promised, but a change of administration.
No serving General in the Nigerian Army today joined the military earlier than 1982; by then, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo had already finished his military career. I respect him a lot, he is a true elder statesman. Happy 82nd birthday to you baba, more good health boss!!
The postponement of the general elections have shown how incompetent INEC and it’s officials are; they had 4 years to prepare for this election, but decided to show nothing for it like the current administration.
My worries on INEC is not only what they did in the
#OsunReRun
, it’s about what they will do in the 2019 general election. I am not really disappointed, it’s just a national embarrassment.
In the year 2019; I want a President that will think of an average Nigerian; I want a President that will realized he has failed if an average Nigerian goes to bed hungry without also knowing what to eat the next day.
Former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is one of the most pragmatic politicians ever produced in the African continent. He has set a record as one of the sitting African leaders to concede defeat in a national election. I commend him for writing his memoirs

.
If there’s anything Nigerians can’t ignore; it’s the fact that they were living better when I was the Head of State than this present day; so therefore, I will be supporting any candidate who is ready to get Nigeria working again; not any one promising otherwise.
Until a Nigerian graduate graduates from higher institution without being scared of his future or being worried of getting a job; the work of Nigeria is not complete.

Former President, Shehu Shagari was really a man of integrity, substance and sense; his services to this great nation is worth admiring, mostly the role he played in bringing more Shelter (Shagari Estate) to Nigerians. Rest In Peace, Your Excellency.
President M. Buhari at 76 has been an excellent role model to many young aspiring politicians and even to the not so young especially with the way he managed the survival of our country; his fight against terrorism and corruption is really a great achievement to his personality.
I don’t get any praises for conducting the freest and fairest election in the history of Nigeria; a lot of people didn’t know the reasons behind the actions we took, but today, IBB is the bad man.
I urge the Presidency and the Police Chiefs to have an urgent reform on police brutality on the ongoing
#EndSARS
campaign. My administration created the Special Anti-Robbery Squad to protect the citizens from crimes and robbery, not harassing the citizens on a daily.
People who calls me the enemy of this nation forgot the fact that no administration created more jobs than we did in our regime, no administration created more rural and urban roads than we did, no administration reduced poverty to the minimum standard than we did. God bless 🇳🇬
I must commend the Youths for demonstrating a peaceful protest across the country at large; and I must also commend the Government for urgently meeting their demands. I’m proud of these united and intelligent set of generation with the way they Sorosoke at the
#EndSARS
campaign.
I strongly condemn the killings of the peaceful and innocent protesters by the armed security men in Lagos and the rest of the nation at large. No Nigerian deserves to lose his/her life to a peaceful protest in demand for their democratic right.
Until an average Nigerian goes to bed with food on his/her stomach without having fear to think of what to eat the following day; the work of Nigeria is far from being complete.
Aside from constructing the 3rd Mainland Bridge in Lagos; my administration created a lot of jobs and birthed organizations like NDLEA, FRSC, NEC, NDIC, NEXIM, SSS, NSCDC, FEPA, NALDA, among many others; yet some Nigerians think I don’t deserve some accolades.
June 12 should indeed be our Democracy Day because it is very symbolic to our history; that was when we had the freest and fairest election and I am really happy the election was conducted by me.
No serving General in the Nigerian Army today joined the military earlier than 1982. By then, Obasanjo had already finished his military career. I respect him a lot, he is a true statesman.
I condemned the attack and killings of the 5 gallant soldiers that were ambushed by the IPOB terrorist group. I join the Nigerian Military to mourn the death of our troops as each soldier lost the battle. Every IPOB group in Nigeria should never be left untouched for this menace.
Until every educated Nigerian graduates from institutions without having the fear of getting a job; or every Nigerian sleeps without getting worried of what to eat the next day; the work of a better Nigeria is not complete. I urge the FG to immediately negotiate with the NLC.
As patriots, we cannot pretend we don’t know what Nigerians are going through because we are statesmen. As an Elder, I will like to quote my boss, Obasanjo, Who said 'I will die for my country Nigeria, but not for my party and ethnicity'.
