South earns its 10th regional title with a 4-0 victory over UDJ behind a CG by @WellsGraham4 ‘23. The quarterfinal begins at 3pm. It will be a rematch of the 2018 state championship with Brownstown Woodhaven.

Congrats to P/Inf Weston Brundage, winner of the “Dave Bergman Scholarship” for 2020! We appreciate the patronage of the Bergman family and the guidance that “Bergie” gave our young men for many years. GPS Baseball has awarded over $40K in scholarships over the last decade.

Well, that’s one way to break in a new scoreboard…the boys never gave up! Alex English ‘23 (vid) earned the W in relief. @WellsGraham4 ‘23, Ben Frakes ‘23 & @jake_kozel ‘24 had multi-hit games. South is now 20-11 and moves back into 2nd place in the Red.

Truly the most impressive stat on our 2022 squad: 8 Academic All-State selections & 9 players at 4.0 or higher (the 8 below + @joeymichelotti1 ‘24). Congrats to our well-rounded young men. We are very proud of your achievements in the classroom!

Congrats to Weston Brundage & @CamMallegg on selection to the @MHSBCA1 East All-Stars for 2020. The rosters were comprised of seniors who earned 1st or 2nd team all-state in '19 or committed to a DI program. The usual game @ComericaPark was cancelled due to pandemic concerns.
