On behalf of everyone at Lavey GAA, we would like to wish Chris Conroy
@ChrisConroy92
the very best as he calls time on his intercounty career. Over the past eight years, he has represented our club with great pride on the national stage.
It is with great regret that we learn this morning of the passing of a club great & stalwart Seamus Smith. Seamus has fulfilled every role imaginable across the club, from underage trainer right up to Chairman. Condolences to all his family.
Everyone in the club would like to wish Chris Conroy the very best today as he ties the knot with Aoife Barkey. Chris is a key member of our club who dedicates a lot of his time to coaching our juveniles, as well as being one of the most influential players on our senior team.
Congratulations to our own
@gerry94smith

flag flys at the gates of Lavey GAA Grounds as we mourn the loss of our former Assan Gaels captain Lewis Fay Cooper with our friends and neighbours.
Lewis was a former captain of Assan Gaels, our U21 amalgamation with Killinkere. As well as being a fantastic footballer and tremendous athlete, he was a true gentleman. Our thoughts are prayers are with everyone in Killinkere this evening, particularly his friends and family.
Our thoughts are with the Ferguson & Tierney families at this very difficult time.Lenny coached our U6 & U8 boys in the past & was a constant attendee at games where his two sons and nephew play with the club.Condolences to his family & friends.

To show their respects and support the fundraiser for The Respiratory Department in Cavan General Hospital, Lavey Senior men met this morning and completed their 5k run before attending Seamus’ grave to pay their respects. Seamus was always a great stalwart of the club.
We would like to thank our outgoing chairman Damien Tynan for his tireless hard work over the past four years. Damien gave a lot of time to the club and he leaves Lavey GAA in a better place. Our new club rooms is a credit to him and the committee.

From everyone in Lavey GAA Club.
Car park works completed. We would like to thank all the people who contributed to our recent draw and our Club Lavey members. Without your support, this would not have been possible.
Everyone in the club would like to wish Darren Jordan the very best today as he ties the knot with Niamh Kelly. Darren has provided us with many memorable moments on the field, however we hope today will be the best of them all. Wishing you both a lifetime of health and happiness
Lavey GAA would like to extend our deepest sympathies to our former chairman Damien Tynan, and his family, on the sudden and tragic passing of his nephew Oran Donohoe.

We would like to thank the Senior Players and management for the great effort they have put in over the last number of weeks, entertaining us all, even when supporters couldn’t attend games. They gave their all last night and unfortunately luck just wasn’t on our side.
Not to be for

An historic night for our club as the keys to our new clubrooms were handed over. We would like to thank our committee and all our Club Lavey members and patrons who have contributed to the building of this facility over the last number of years.
On Friday night at the AGM, our Member of the Year award was presented to JJ Flood. If you have ever been to either a Lavey game or the New Inns, you will have met JJ. He does everything the club needs. Everyone in the club is very appreciative of JJ's efforts. Congrats JJ.
Lavey Senior Panel & their new mgt team, Colin Malone, Marty Fox & Liam Maguire, completed a virtual run on the 10th of January where funds were raised for Cavan General Hospital staff. Pictures show the team & mgt presenting Easter hampers to frontline and ward staff.
At the AGM on Friday night, Cyril Reilly was elected President of the Club. As all Lavey supporters will know, Cyril is an avid supporter of the club and rarely misses a senior or juvenile game. We wish him well.

On Sunday June 5th, Lavey GAA are hosting a Memorial Day for the late Seamus Smith. Seamus dedicated a lot of time and effort into all aspects of our club so it is only fitting that we hold such an event. At 1pm our ladies team will host Castlerahan/Denn.

As the funeral is private due to restrictions, there will be a guard of honour for Seamus tomorrow from the N3 exit at the old Autotech back to the N3 turn for Lower Lavey Church after the strand on the Dublin Road. It would be appreciated if people could be present from 1.45.
We are delighted to welcome Seamus and Pauline Farrelly and The Lavey Inn back on board as our Main Sponsor. In these difficult times, it is important to support our local businesses, particularly those who give back to the local community and our club.
