@Mateko2 @Slyfer070 @ilikepieinmouth @Alpharad The game generates a pokemons psv (as far as eggs are concerned) when the egg is made at the nursery. However, the game doesnt compare that psv to your tsv u til the egg hatches. So an egg technically doesnt have a shiny pokemon until the egg hatches.

@Mateko2 @Slyfer070 @ilikepieinmouth @Alpharad Because of this, if you have an egg that doesnt match your tsv, it will hatch into the normal color. But if you instead trade that egg to somebody that has a tsv that matches the egg's psv, and *they* hatch it, it will hatch into a shiny.

Its extremely likely that nintendo changed the algorithm that determines all those values when making the egg compared to previous games, but its extremely unlikely that they changed the fundamental comparison of tsv and psv when the egg hatches.
