7-time NYS Champions: Class B 2003, 2004, 2019; Class C 2013, 2014, 2015, 2021. NYS record 13-time finalist. Not affiliated w/ CF, but I DID wear THE Red Helmet
Blue Devils!
I know it hurts, but stand blue, stand proud!
Amazing season guys!
CF tradition continues!
There are over 400 teams in NYS vying for the title, and for the 11th time this century CF was one of the last 10 standing!
CF tradition continues!
STAND PROUD!

Very sad news to report from Coach Hogan.
He informed me late this morning that longtime Assistant Coach Mr. John Petley had passed away overnight last night. Right now there are no funeral or memorial services planned. If that changes I am sure we will know.
❤️💙💔
CF Junior Lucas Scott wins the D1 285lb State Championship 5-1 over Myles Norris of Freeport!
Between football and wrestling he’s 50-0 on the school sport season!
This is the third and final period:
🏈☝🏼With the win tonight, Coach Hogan (likely with no finger nails left to speak of) becomes CF's all-time Wins leader with his 118th victory as head coach.
He passes Kelsey Green and Dick Russ who are tied at 117 wins.
CONGRATULATIONS COACH HOGAN!
The Blue Devils have beaten Cheektowaga 48-28 to advance to the state final for the 5th straight season!
It's only the second time any school has done that, with CHENANGO FORKS being that other program, having done it from 2001 through 2005!

Congrats to the Blue Devil Boys Lacrosse squad, this morning knocking off defending State Champion Syracuse CBA in OT 9-8 in the state playoffs! It avenges last years’ loss to CBA in the same round of the playoffs.
SCHEDULE CHANGE
The final game of the season has changed.
The Blue Devils will not be playing at Binghamton, rather they now will be home on Saturday April 24th hosting Maine-Endwell!
Guess I won’t be ending the website after all.
Thanks for all the kind words of reply the last two weeks. It was a tough decision to make when I announced the closure, but twice as tough to go through with it.

FORKS FOOTBALL FACT
Last night’s 42-7 victory was Coach Hogan’s 116th W!
That places him right behind Dick Russ (117-58-3) and Kelsey Green (117-19-0) in the Win category.
The Blue Devils are 116-14 under Coach Hogan.

Today's win TIES CF for the Section 4 record of SEVEN consecutive Section 4 football championships! The present run for the 2012 thru 2018 Blue Devils ties them with...
why the 2001 thru 2007 Chenango Forks Blue Devils!

In 58 yrs of NY Wrestling Championships 2020 was the 2nd time CF had two in the finals with Tyler Ferrara & Lucas Scott.
The other time was 2004 when Troy Nickerson won his 4th title & Ryan Beckhorn took 2nd.
This was the 3rd time CF had 3 place-winners, also done in 1991 & 2011
The Blue Devils defeat the Trojans of Homer 28-9 to advance to the Class B Final Four.
It will be CF's 14th Final Four appearance, increasing their state record from 13.
If you didn’t go to the Blue Devils game tonight you can watch Lucas Scott and Army on ESPN right now vs Texas-San Antonio. Lucas is starting at Right Guard.
50 years ago last Friday morn (Nov 1, 1969) Chenango Forks had never beaten Windsor in a Varsity football game, being something like 0-9-2 vs the Black Knights.
My then 14-year old self was there when that all changed that crisp autumn afternoon at the Blue Devils home field...
In NYS history, there have only been a little over a handful of games between defending state champions.
CF at SV next week will be the FIFTH time the Blue Devils have been in such a matchup.
Previous:
2005 CF 21, M-E 7
2014 M-E 20, CF 7
2015 M-E 28, CF 21
2016 CF 55, Tioga 12
Tim Jenks, CF class of 1973, 3 time Section 4 Wrestling Champion and former Section 4 Single Season Rushing Yards record holder, is being inducted into the Upstate Chapter of the National Wresting Hall of Fame.

RECORD TYING NIGHT👏🏼🏈
With the win tonight, it is Coach Hogan’s 117th victory, tying him with both of our two previous coaches, Kelsey Green and Dick Russ.
🏈💪🏽RECORD SETTING NIGHT💪🏽🏈
With the 55 pts put on the board against Oneonta tonight, that has CF with 97 pts after 2 weeks. That’s a new CF record, the previous being 96 pts in the first 2 games in the 2004 State Championship season.
Scene for tonight’s bonfire and a picture of the 1967 one. Kelsey Green on the left, Joe Warren in the middle and Dave Owen on the right…ALL wearers of THE Red Helmet.
CF grad Troy Nickerson, head wrestling coach at Northern Colorado, tonight coached Andrew Alirez to the 141lb NCAA championship. Andrew is No Col’s first champ since 1962 and first finalist since 1969. (1 of 2)

CF gridders are 199-20 since the turn of the millennium. I’m not too sure there are any other schools in NYS that can claim 199 in this century, just about two dozen can in the USA. Be proud! Seniors and all, you are forever members of The Red Helmet Tradition! Forever!
Last night’s win was CF’s:
~ 23rd straight in season openers
~ 25th straight vs Broome County teams
~ 38th straight in regular season
~ 48th straight vs Section 4 teams
~ 65th straight vs Section 4 teams in the same class (A CF record. The 2000 thru 2008 teams won 63 straight)
Tim Jenks, CF class of 1973, three-sport star CF athlete & Greene’s longtime wrestling coach is one of the two inductees from Section 4. In Tim’s senior football season he set the then Section 4 single-season rushing record. 🏈🤼♂️🏃🏽♂️⭐️

Five years ago today this photo was taken (don’t know who) and then made the rounds with CF Facebookers. I love the major “Stephen King spookiness” quality to it, especially so since that storm was on Friday the 13th, and a FULL MOON Friday the 13th no less.
June 13, 2014.
Final score. The Blue Devils varsity football team defeats Chenango Valley 40-0.
It was CF’s 28th straight victory over CV dating back to 1995.
CV last beat CF in 1994 by a 14-13 score.
