Perhaps it annoys you how characters string you along with ulterior motives and aren't honest about it up until they're confronted. Lyney's magic show seems to fit the bill perfectly! The best part about it? Furina seemingly hasn't involved the Traveler personally at all! 🧵~4/10

The writing is on the wall, as such I kindly ask you all to be patient. Furina's perceived faults have been called out in the story itself, setting up how she will ultimately prove herself. When that happens, I wonder how many will turn around fondly reminisce about her. 🧵~10/10

I could go on and on. In truth, I like every character mentioned above. But the double standards become quite evident when it comes to Furina. Her character traits aren't unheard of when it comes to Archons, neither is her story nor her supporting cast. 🧵~7/10

The only conclusion I can come to is that she is a female character with a strong personality, which sadly turns off many. She's a mystery box surrounded by a fanbase that is often very eager to jump to conclusions to prop up their favorites. 🧵~8/10

It's fantastic how these two are foils to one another when it comes to Furina. He greatly trusts Lady Furina despite how much she doubts the god Focalors. While he'd rather not take back his elemental Authority, she's aiming for the Gnosis to strike back against the divine.

Furina's melancholy is underrated. Her role as a "mascot" is up-and-center despite how she's devoted herself to the prophecy. Even those she's closest to are kept at arm's length. Why? Because her "Endless Solo of Solitude" exists not just for their sake, but hers as well.

@TeppiTreeseed_ I can see how. By stripping her away from her agency as a character by assuming she's unfit for the role, it sets a bad precedent in which to be "worthy" of being an Archon, you have to comform to expected societal norms. You musn't have any struggles, and so on. Very worrying...

To root for a character is to want them to succeed. My desire to see this tortured soul whose destiny is to be alone in a pool of her subjects get some peace is evident. I'm admittedly weak to "feel-good" endings. And her resolution is set up to be the grandest of them all.

@Remellu It's a sad trend to see. People make up their headcanon of what an Archon "should" be, and then proceed to get mad when it doesn't follow their made-up expectations when no other deity has been held up to such scrutiny as Furina has. Though it is an understandable misconception.

I have yet to see amy legitimate arguments for Furina slander, save for headcanons in which she is supposedly the worst there ever was. Instead, focus om the fact that Furina may flip off Celestia like no one else has!

I have to thank the easter egg behind the Fountain back in 4.0 for pushing Furina as one of my all-time favorite characters. Warming up to her antics upon meeting her was easy, and I grew to admire her wit and leadership. Yet her cries exposed the amazing depth of her character.
