The Umbria region, in Central Italy, has barred women from accessing the abortion pill as an outpatient. In my job market paper I show that imposing social stigma on avoiding unexpected pregnancies prevent women from becoming innovative entrepreneurs.

@anacostaramon Interesting! Can you rule out that being prescribed the Pill correlates with the likelihood of being diagnosed (prescribed girls are just more likely to know about mental health issues)? Eg richer girls are more likely to be on the pill and also more likely to see psychiatrist
