We are THANKFUL. A significant tornado (maybe more than one) hits a major Metropolitan area AFTER DARK and we have no major injuries. Luck helps. So do timely warnings from the NWS and our media partners (TV, radio). I may work for FOX, but this was certainly a group effort.

We got .01" instead of .10" ice. We did expect more. But a thin sheet of ice is still a sheet of ice based on all the wrecks. There are some humans ANGRY it wasn't worse! Are you mad you still have power? Trees aren't snapped? Car isn't wrecked? Be happy. You'll live longer :)

This will be our first BIG dog ever. He's a Lab/Boxer/Chow mix (named COLT) who was rescued from a hoarding situation a few months ago. He's finishing heartworm treatment with his foster, and seems to get along with everyone! Today was a "test" and he passed with flying colors!
