There are plenty of proud people in the parish today after yesterdays performance but someone especially proud is Club President Harry (Humphrey) Collins.

It is with great sadness that we learnt of Seanie O’ Leary’s passing yesterday evening.
One of the truly great players, he gave such fantastic service to Cork hurling and provided wonderful memories to so many people all over the country.

Our next player profile is one of our longest serving Senior Hurlers. Shane made his Senior debut in 2000 and is still going strong. Shane was part of a team, that has one every honour in club hurling in Cork, including two Senior Hurling titles in 2006 & 2007

A dedicated club man who was a player and a selector on our first Senior County winning team in 1992. PJ also led the club to their third Senior County Championship, as manager, in 2007.

Teddy was a legend on the GAA fields for many years and gave us many wonderful life long sporting memories. A gentleman & friend to everybody, one of the really great Gaels, he will live long in the memory of all who were honoured to know him.

Our U18s made a presentation to Billy Hegarty last night.
He celebrated his 75th birthday last week,he has guided the U18s to the hurling and football double this year. Billy has been involved in Erins Own for over thirty years and its great to see him still involved in coaching
