Leon O’Neal has moved excellently throughout the duration of this workout. Definitely the smoothest transitions out of the safeties and up there with the top CBs. Very few guys that can make that smooth of a 45 deg. man turn after opening up inside

Underclassmen, listen to me very closely. College programs aren’t offering the player you are now. They’re offering the player they expect you to be 3/4 years from now. Scholarships are hard to gain, easy to lose. Make sure you’re constantly working and not taking it for granted.

Do you really want to play D1 ball or do you only want to play P5 ball? A lot of you guys are wasting time and $ hitting these P5 camps. If you want the chance to play D1 ball, I was just at an FCS camp that might’ve had less than 100 kids in attendance. Good academic school too

@dbdavis_va I can understand that but most programs consist of receivers that are anywhere from 5’9-6’0. I’m definitely not against y’all CBs and acknowledge the fact that you definitely need height in the secondary. But I’ve seen a ton of 6’0-6’2 DBs get cooked by 5’9 receivers

Just because you have P5 offers doesn’t mean you should always go the P5 route. G5’s are more willing to play you where you naturally play in a lot of cases if you’re a baller. You might be a G5 CB, but a P5 ATH. Know what it is that you want out of the recruiting process

Fellas, your 5 minute highlight tape does not qualify you for a full scholarship. It is the attention getter which begins the full eval process. Coaches want to see grades, meet you in person, and some coaches don’t offer unless you go to camp. It’s a process.

These ratchet 7v7 tournaments and teams need to stop. Under no circumstance should any adult coach be putting their hands on kids or encouraging their players to fight the opposing team. Some of the footage coming out recently has been absolutely disgraceful

“Just cause you got offers doesn’t mean you’re good on the field”. A lot of you underclassmen are being offered before even setting foot on a HS blade of grass. Expectations come with that fellas. That offer can be pulled at any time so you better show up and show out 💯

JMU was amazing yesterday. Got a chance to catch up with @CoachBirkett and met @CoachShanahan_ and @Coach_JMill . The reason they win so much is because they have a system and recruiting philosophy that works for them. Plus, they have a group of outstanding coaches as well 😤💪🏽🔥

There are a lot of kids getting offered that don’t understand how the board works. If a school is only taking 2 DBs and you’re number 5 on the board, that offer probably isn’t commitable until the 4 in front have made decisions. Find out where you stand on the school’s rankings

If I see one more middle schooler release a high school top 5, I might have to get out of this business. Parents stop letting your kids do that. It screams attention seeker and isn’t a very good look.

Critical film tip for each position on offense and defense (thread): QB: demonstrate your ability to complete a multitude of different throws RB: don’t shy away from including pass pro and receiving out of the backfield WR: show as much of the route tree as possible

Last year's film is no longer valid. You shouldn't be the same player that you were last year at this point in the off season. If you have offers, you aren't safe. Coaches will be looking for improvement in this year's tape. Underclassmen, that especially applies to you.

Definition of a 3 down, all purpose back. 1,200 yd rusher this season without his starting QB and no back up QB on the roster. Powerful runner with the ball, can catch out of the backfield, and pick up blitzing LB’s and safeties. Also comes from a great family and 3.7 GPA

It’s amazing to me that some kids have me blocked or unfollowed even after I went to bat for them after someone in their circle tried to mess up their recruiting. I wish all of those people the best of luck moving forward now that the wolves aren’t being held back 💯

HS coaches, please talk to your players. A lot of coaches assume that everything is ok because the players are doing everything they’re supposed to do. They are human beings too, especially the guys who don’t see the field much. Sometimes all it takes is 1 conversation to build..
