You protested for me when Asians were blamed for COVID and beaten on the streets. You held up your
#StopAsianHate
signs and shared your posts.
Now antisemitism is out in full force and where the hell are you?
As an AAPI Jew, I feel the dichotomy and it breaks my heart.
On this day 6 years ago I survived a mass shooting. There were six students who didn’t - six lives that were taken way too early.. We honor & remember them today and every day. 💛💙

Thank you to the selfless
@PennMedicine
faculty and staff for working tirelessly to protect our community from
#COVID19
with the available resources. You are immensely appreciated during this stressful time.
Let me know if/when you hear encampment protesters chanting for a ceasefire or peace.
I have yet to hear it.
However, I did hear lots of “intifada” and “death to Zionists” at the UCLA Encampment.
Thank you to all the brave faculty and students of
@UCLA
who are standing strong against the growing and worrying tide of antisemitism on campus.
Academia should and must remain a fortress of freedom of thought and expression, of mutual respect, discussion and debate. Yet what
Hamas took videos of themselves screaming “sabaya” at female hostages and people still refuse to believe that the hostages are being used as sex slaves.
The Fall 2020 HUP/PPMC Academic Associates Program has come to a close and I feel like a proud mama. It was not an easy semester to be in the ED, yet the AAs collectively screened 5800+ patients & enrolled 1400+ patients in 8 different research studies!

This tweet is to document the day that I was face-to-face with the one and only
#RupertGrint
at an intersection in downtown Philly.
Me: Are you Rupert Grint?
Rupert Grint: Yeah
Me: 😳

At the 2019
@PennHealthX
conference, you signed my copy of
#ChasingMyCure
with “from hope to action.” I took this with me on my premed journey the following year & am now accepted to med school 💪
A yr ago I lost my Uncle Rick - a cardiologist & USAF vet who succumbed to injuries from a plane crash. He was my mentor in life & medicine. Just a couple weeks before he passed, he sent me the book he used to learn to read EKGs.
I left his memorial w/ his last EKG in my hand.🤍
Honored to be a lead coordinator for this critical and timely trial.
@BenjaminAbella
and Dr. Amaravadi's leadership throughout this endeavor has been inspiring.

Beyond excited for this brilliant, enthusiastic cohort of Penn post-bacc students to start their research work in the HUP & PPMC EDs. Here’s to another successful semester of Penn Med’s Academic Associates Program!
@JamesBarnett421
No. Your very first reply to one of my tweets was rude and condescending so I don’t care to have dialogue with you. You’ve rudely replied to all of my tweets since. I’m happy to have dialogue if someone speaks nicely but I honestly don’t care to respond to you.
This is absolutely horrifying. I am heartbroken. My family and I have walked down that very street many times.

❗️Please take a few minutes out of your day to learn CPR on YouTube or sign up for an in-person CPR course near you! Do it with a friend!❗️
Please 🙏🏼
It took a mass murder of 6 Asian women for people to finally acknowledge and talk about the horrific spike in Anti-Asian-American hate crimes in the U.S. that began over a year ago. That is also sad.
Today I saw a laparoscopic hernia repair performed by a robot! 🤖 the surgeons used control arms and viewed inside the abdomen with a 3D camera. Absolute insanity.

I have my peds rotation next and am attempting to mentally prepare myself for seeing critically ill children and heartbroken parents. I’m not sure if anything can truly prepare you for it, though.
I am honored to have received the

Continuing Education Outstanding Student Award! A huge thank you to

Thank you Dr. Tamika Auguste (

When I close my eyes, I can still hear the student a cappella group singing “It’s always darkest before the dawn” at the vigil. May their memories live on forever.
As I reflect on this past academic year, I can't help but feel so proud of
@UPennAMWA
& what we have accomplished. What an amazing group of individuals passionate about the advancement of women in health care. Love you all. Time to pass the torch to the incredible

Penn Future Women in Health has been working hard sewing masks (100+ so far) for essential workers, writing letters to officials at the federal, state, & local levels for more PPE for HCWs, and more! All from HOME. So proud 💙
