I was also made aware that quite a few creators were blindsided. I wouldnt feel bad about this they hid it really well. I have told ppl yall were blindsided.
I don't mind burning bridges with companies and people I never intend to work with.

I just confirmed from sources close to the creators that at least some of them were completely blindsided. they did not know where efuse got the money and these were straight content deals. the money efuse got was 500k at first but likely grew to 8 figures from

Just own up to it. Ur not convincing anyone. Its just bullying some poor girl trying to make a living so u can get some internet likes. Congrats.
Noone will be better at building up a college's esports scene than the current and former student leaders on campus.
Schools. Stop paying 3rd parties to try and build it for you. Giving a student leader a budget of $10k will give better results than $500K to a 3rd party "expert"

Every comment u make just has everyone telling u to shutup lol. I think ur trying to be a troll account but u lack the capacity to be witty or funny or interesting so u just post crap.
99% of students who get into esports do it by becoming a leader of a club, making it successful/big, bringing in sponsorships and building a relationship with brands and industry veterans and through word of mouth and vouching get a job.
0% of ppl i know have an esports degree,
🎓 Bachelor degrees aren't the only choice anymore.
With esports education on the rise in the UK, more students should be considering a Higher National Diploma in esports, argues Iain Earle of Salford Business School (

Collegiate esports only exists because an entire generation of students who had no friends decided to build entire organizations on campus to force people to be their friends.

Are we really gonna prance around in the comments section and pretend like yall didn't turn EG into an intern sweatshop burning them out and abusing them? just empty smiles and spineless applause?
Long read ahead as a perspective from a former EG intern myself. Apologies in advance and thank you to anyone who reads this (You know it's serious because I broke character and am writing in caps)
I have many mixed emotions about this, thanks to the Genius League/EG I was able
Collegiate and the student space is something that is hard to get investment or capital in, even when it wasn't esports winter. So when a brand or person is willing to take that leap of faith with me and build alongside us to prove it out, I remember that forever. That is what
Collegiate Esports is going to continue losing publisher support because there is way too much focus (from publishers and schools) on competition and less on the community building/club ecosystem.
Of course collegiate isn't sustainable when there's no fans.

EG continues to show their true colors.
• Sign an agreement with Herc, a commitment to 15 events this year
• Release her early, telling her the series lost all partnerships, & the last 4 events are cancelled.
• The event is still happening
I hope no one signs up for this.
Hey everyone i'm trying to help fill some industry positions at some major brands, please leave a comment if u are looking for a job in esports and ur preference of role.
or drop a recommendation!
these are full time positions at major companies.
Rumor is Playvs is trying to sell rn.
They have raised a total of $106.2M
Rumors are they are selling for 10-20mil. They have approached multiple companies for acquisition but noone is interested.
Likely due to their loss of publisher exclusivities, bad press, poor reputation.

Its just that shes awkward and slightly abrasive. Its not that funny. Its more like somewhat amusing. Like small exhalation through the nostrils without even smiling and then scrolling past it.
i kept putting off seeing my grandparents until i lost weight and was less busy.
just found out my grandma passed away. My grandparents raised me when i was a toddler cause my parents were too poor at the time to raise me in the states with them.
Waited too long.
The creators dont own shit. near is sitting 500mil they need to spend to actually get users. efuse was likely paid 8 figures to get these content creators to unknowingly join the near crypto ecosystem. its way deeper. a source will go on record soon with major media outlets.
EG was very heavy handed trying to blacklist former employees for posting/interacting with any post that could be seen as criticism.
stop being afraid of them. esports orgs dont have any money/influence anymore. what are they gonna do, transfer their credit card debt to you?
Thank you all so so much for attending this record breaking summit!
Thank you to the panelists/mods/volunteers that made our panels so special for students!
and thank you to my Uconnect team that BUSTED THEIR ASS for 2 months making these 3 amazing days happen.

What clubs need to do:
Esports clubs need to rebrand to xx Gaming.
Prioritize casual gamers/community.
no club money should be going towards competitive. Competitive at D1 schools is a nonfactor+lowest priority.
Everyone should have a flagship LAN event.

This is horseshit. they had an entire nft marketplace platform ready to go and launch. why else would near fund them. this is their standard deal. efuse brings them into the ecosystem, near upsells them on products utilizing tokens. demand for tokens increases, efuse offramps.
Additionally, the company (Shawn Pavel, VP of Engineering for eFuse) said, regarding the launch that "the Creator League is not an NFT project and we have never sold tokens..."

Big announcement! due to my experience founding texas a&m esports, i will now be accepting a job as a football coach at texas a&m. I cant wait to play with the footballs, frolicking in the fields and climbing the big pole thing. Cant believe i was hired/will get paid to do this.

If yall were actually responsible about your college debt you would have robbed banks and paid for it up front in bags of cash with big dollar signs on the side.
aight i'll give my hot take:
Varsity programs are worthless without clubs.
Clubs cannot evolve without varsity programs.
Having a varsity program before having a community is putting the cart before the horse.
This is why sustainability is such a big issue with varsity.
from my understanding

creator league gets paid in near tokens, to convert it into cash they need other suckers to join the near ecosystem to buy their tokens so they can turn it into $.

Never declare your loyalty for a company you have a job with. Be loyal to your friends who will be there for you wherever you end up.
i tell this to students all the time. Your job and the company you work at is temporary.
The collegiate esports cult is forever.
Collegiate esports is the only space in in the industry where top experts are readily available and already working at the company and companies choose to hire from outside the least relevant person to handle it.
ppl who dont think women belong in gaming dont know how hard collegiate gaming is carried by women. like every brand. yeah competitive is mostly men but competitive in collegiate has like 0 power. look at whose being hired by the biggest brands. mostly women college club leaders
Guys, the job market is rough right now. I feel sorry for any collegiate leader looking to get into the industry, but I am trying to help as much as I can with referrals and stuff. But just know it's difficult all around rn so don't feel like you're failing or not good enough.
