Commentator for Sky Thoroughbred Central and SkySportsRadio was once an average jockey who rode over 100 winners. racing has been my life as long as I remember.
I thought I’ve seen everything in Racing but the 2020 Doncaster Mile won in front of 80 people by a mare who has a beer, eats pizza and chicken nuggets who is a nutcase and hates people takes the cake.

My father in law was the youngest of 16 who was laid to rest today at 89 years of age.
Three weeks ago he was caring for my mother in law with severe dementia driving his car around for appointments.
Thank you for all the help from everyone making things easier.

I once enjoyed
@Twitter
but now although I don’t follow any political party’s I still have to shuffle through pages and pages of political crap because maybe some people I follow are interested. The place is TOXIC.
I can’t think of a more likeable jockey in my life , and his wife Sharnee is a gem looking after 4 young children while he goes about his high pressure workload with no fuss. Great family.
I refuse to read anymore about this feral in the Porsche, how can anyone defend him after him taking pictures and posting them. I know he is not guilty of murder but surely his background suggests he gets no favours.
So after living with my wife for over 35 years all of a sudden she wants to learn the rules of cricket in the last 15 minutes of play today.
#worldproblems
I don’t like to bring personal problems to Twitter but I can’t say enough about Sacred Heart Supportive and Palliative Home Care St Vincent Health Care Sydney helping out with my in laws today.
They eased so many problems in 3 hours.
Thank You 🙏
I’m not trying to be a smart alec but if you want people to bet on 1st time Imports in Australia you have to make it easy for punters to access replays of at least their last 5 runs.
I know the places to try and look but for the once a week punter it’s a nightmare.
I’ve bigger news than the Winx and Cricket announcements.
I have been asked by connections of Tom Melbourne to attend the barrier draw for the Doncaster Mile and draw his winning barrier out.
I will then be in charge of negotiating his Royal Ascot appearance.
It’s been a great Carnival with our backs against the wall ,thank you to
@racing_nsw
and
@atc_races
for very strong leadership in trying circumstances.
To all my friends, colleagues, followers and even the trolls that keep me on my toes Merry Christmas in a forgetful year.
Lucky enough we are still working in racing and full steam ahead for a more progressive New Year.
When I say we’re shutting down horse racing, people often ask where exactly the money will come from. My answer: the Horse Betting Levy.
I’m really excited about our plan to shut down horse racing – find out more here:
It must be a lonely old life if all you’ve got to do is protest about a horse racing movie on a Sunday night.
I Hope Michelle tells them all to GET STUFFED.
For all those @ me over retweeting or liking opinions on the Bowman decision remember that we can all have our opinions and they don’t always align but racing employs smart people to make these decisions and we have to live with it. 🤷🏼♂️

So sad to wake up to the news about John Marshall.
John was a great friend and mentor when I was growing up.
Rode out with him every morning and his advise was always worth listening to.
#RIP
I’m amused with how many people are so enamoured with these little 3yo fillies from the Oaks declaring them as Caulfield Cup winners.
Didn’t they see Master Of Wine.
I’d like to thank the gentleman that gifted me this Racebook in my pocket today.
I didn’t realise the sentimental value at the time.
It was his fathers.
I’d like to thank the 5000 restaurant’s I’ve given my email address to over the past 12 months for telling me they are now washing their knives forks and chopsticks.

#BREAKING
: Caller reports what appears to be a protest by vegan activists on the corner of Flinders & Swanston Sts. They appear to have blocked the entire intersection, so no trams or cars getting through. Protesters are chaining themselves to vans.
UPDATE: 9NEWS understands Sarah will not be able to attend the funeral of her father in Brisbane today. Instead the QLD Government has offered her a police escort to a private viewing of her dad's body with no family in attendance.
@9NewsAUS
So my local council sends me an email saying a good way of keeping yourself occupied and having fun during this crisis is to dress up to put you’re garbage out.
I think I’d get much more satisfaction if they discounted the rates.
And of course this Wednesday April 3 is the day we sit back and think of our friend and colleague Nathan Berry as it will be 5 years since he lost his life.
There was a moment on this morning’s show that will stick with me and it may have been on a commercial break when Glen Boss was talking about Nathan Berry with his hand on Tommy’s knee.
Comradeship at its brilliant best.

Still in shock we got through the day without one complaint from any jockey after over 10 inches of rain since Tuesday and plenty of rain on the day.
Well done to the Randwick team.

#LoveTheHorse
I don’t need my own personal photographer to prove I love the horse, people that know me should know that already.
I really struggle why we have to fiercely defend ourselves when a bad egg comes along disgracing our great sport.
WARNING anyone that doesn’t like Posers , Big Noters or photos of little fat fellas half naked sitting in the sun please MUTE me for a month.

What else can I say other than I’ve enjoyed working with Andrew for all of his years at Sky. We have had a great working relationship and had some great fun. He will be sorely missed and irreplaceable with his work ethic and professionalism.
Deane Lester will never be more missed than this week.
Everyone had Deanes set of tips for the Bool as he put so much work into it and rarely missed a winning day. 😪
This is Archie , he lives in the foyer of the Peppers Silo Hotel in Launceston and you can book to take him for a walk at 9am 12pm or 3pm and he’s a star. Great Hotel to stay in Tasmania.
@TheSiloHotel
A sickening start to the day at Rosehill.
Andrew Adkins has had much more bad luck with injury’s than anyone.
We can only hope and pray than he is back sooner rather than later.
He’s very tough and has youth on his side.
Hopefully this scare is a positive for everyone in our industry to be very careful, jobs are very important in the current climate and racing employs plenty.
Be very careful because just one small mistake and it’s all over for everyone.
I didn’t know Danny Frawley but I do know a lot of people of good character that did know him that are singing his praises and that’s enough for me to say he was a good bloke that will be sadly missed.
Condolences to his family
#RIP
I’ve worked alongside Kenny Callander at stages throughout my time and a better bloke or mentor you will never find.
Well deserved award for service to racing.

I love a bit of banter on twitter more than anyone and I respect opinions from anyone that puts their real name to it.
The rest of the trolls I can give or take with a grain of salt unless you get personal or vicious.
I would love a rant about this whip debate but I don’t think I could handle the pain of trying to explain myself.
We have come a long way in the past 20 years and the industry still gets no credit.
