Chemo is done as of yesterday. Getting 2 units of blood transfused to hopefully avoid another trip to the ER. This has been quite a process, and I appreciate each & every one of you for sending support and love. The road back begins soon.

I remember the ride home from the hospital when they finally let us take my baby boy home. White knuckles all the way, going 30 in a 45. Today, I white knuckled the door handle as he drove himself to work in my car as I rode shotgun. Parenthood is a trip. It goes by so fast.

The overreacting by alleged “fans” of the @TBLightning after a game 1 loss is sad, embarrassing, and spotlights why this area isn’t taken seriously when it comes to the national perspective. It was a letdown and it hurt, but shake it off & #TampaWinCup for crying out loud.

I express gratitude for merely being alive every day, but I wouldn’t be where I am without the love & support from this amazing woman. @thatblondeeee & I are slowly returning to “real life” & checked out Thai Temple for yummy food & some spirituality this morning! Great spot.

One last day of rest today before my third of 4 chemo weeks gets underway. Your words of support inspire & comfort me. Cancer has changed my life for the better, as it’s made me more grateful & reflective. I’m a fortunate guy to know the people I know & to live this existence!

Things didn’t work out between his mom and me, but I’m sure glad that my son inherited her demeanor. He’s such a sweet kid. If he was like I was at 16, I don’t know how I could handle it. Staying afloat these past 5 years w/ just him & me has been my greatest accomplishment. ❤️

I try to look for the positive in every situation, no matter how grim or crappy it might be. Cancer sucks, no doubt about it. However, the opportunity to mend fences, hear from people who fell out of my life, & receive support has been incredible. Life is too short.

Sitting on my lanai & watching/listening to the world wake up makes me feel so joyous and grateful to be part of it. The birds chirp & sing to greet the dawning sun and I am alive to experience it. What a gift that I'll never take for granted. Nor should you. Life is magical.

Watching the world come to life, I think of what I went through. 4 separate rounds of chemotherapy, two of them extremely high-dose. All so that I could be here this morning to tell you to make the most of every day & realize what a gift it is to simply live. Enjoy your day!

One minute, you're sitting uncomfortably in a plane seat. Then, an engine explodes & you get sucked out & killed. Death comes for us all in many forms. Rather than live in fear of it, we should instead savor every moment and appreciate the fleeting frailty of life.

Parenting certainly has its ups and downs. No other way to say it; it was a “down” week for my son & me. We talked through it, & I reverse-seared a tri tip & waited up for him to come home from work late last night. I’m glad that I did, as he seemed to appreciate it. ❤️

I've been granted the gift of another day! I had to tweak my mentality this week. I went from "I still have to fight this disease" to "I GET to fight this disease." Not everyone is so fortunate as to have a fighting chance like I do. Change your mindset and embrace positivity!

I'm asking you to look at these photos, not to make you spit up your morning coffee but to help you realize how much you can change in a year. If you're down now, fight through it. If there are toxic people in your life, evict them. Life is too short & every day is a gift!

8 years ago today, I had a meeting that started my path back to radio. I had given up on myself, which was a mistake. Don't give up on yourself. Your great surprise could be just around the corner. Mine was. Thanks for helping me stay in this amazing position. I appreciate you.
