Turkish doctors told me, they are forced to see 70 patients a day, 70 patients a day!! Can you believe it? This leaves about 10-15 min examination per patient. Patients get upset and they beat up the doctors. But who forces doctors to see 70 patients a day? That is the culprit

When your father dies, you can never be a child again. My father taught me ethics, hard work, dedication, always telling the truth, and working very hard. He never stopped working and died on May 1st, the international worker’s day. I miss him very much.

Here in the US, as far as I know, there is a limit on how many patients you can see a day and it is not < 25. Plus doctors earn a very decent salary & they are very respected In Turkey doctors see 70 patients/day and they make about 500$ a month. Plus they get attacked, murdered.

We are working really hard to initiate an ALS Center in Turkey, which is connected with the world, so that when it is time for NU-9 to go to Phase2 or Phase3, Turkish patients will also have the right to join. So that they will not be left out for NU-9 or for any other trial.

Benim bir tanecik guzel ananem vefat etti. Bir cinar, bir tarih yok oldu. Ananem Turkiye Cumhuriyetinin ayakli kutuphanesiydi, canli kitabiydi.. My beloved grandmother passed away. She was a living legend, a walking book of history I am beyond sad.

Efkar is a Turkish word with no proper English equivalent. It is being sad, worried, heavy but also having good thoughts to break that cycle. There is also a song that I sing when I get “efkarli”. It makes me think & smile each time. I suggest you sing that song too.

We just got the news! Our drug discovery paper is accepted. We identified the first compound that improves the health of diseased motor neurons in the brain!! ALS,HSP,PLS you are a monster I am not afraid of monsters!!

Apparently Maarif Takvimi mentioned me on Feb 19, 2023. It first mentioned a statement from Ataturk, and it mentioned me for my efforts to end ALS. Thank you. Maarif Takvimi is one of the most common calendars in Turkey, millions of people have them in their homes.
