You really have to think about it: Messi wins FIFA The Best, doesn't even come to the ceremony and doesn't even post about it on Instagram. Meanwhile, this guys sits there and brags about having scored 30 goals in the Camel League. It is absolutely unbelievable.
🚨 Cristiano Ronaldo: “I was the best goalscorer this season, imagine beating young animals like Haaland… I’m proud. And I’ll be 39 soon!”.
“I like when people doubt again about me and then I’m successfull. I don’t get affected by the criticism”.
Considering everything, Mbappé from 78th-120th minute (+ extra time) for me definitely are the greatest 45 minutes by any footballer in history, at least televised
Ofc R9 is the way better footballer, you just need to watch football. Just judigng by inflated modern super team stats, you would also have to come to the conclusion that Lukaku is better than van Basten or that Salah is better than Ronaldinho and so on. Just use your eyes.
Imagine he scores this. Every casual would have him in goat debate already. But then, they lost the penalty shoutout and no one even care about his heroic performance any more. One moment decides if you are as good as Pelé or worse than Henry apparently.
I mean we all know why CR7 fans just judge based on stats and team trophies. They can't use their eyes, they don't understand football. They watched the game for 15 years and come to the conclusion that CR7 is a better footballer than Messi. Teils you all you need to know.
I think Argentina - France 2022 is the new
#1
. Almost unbeatable in terms of legacy, dramatics, performances of all time great players, important, cultural impact.
🚨 Cristiano Ronaldo: “Saudi League is not worst than Ligue1”.
“Saudi Pro League is more competitive than Ligue1, I can say that after one year spent there”.
🇫🇷 “We are better than French league already now”.
Daily reminder that the UCL is a 13 game tournament where you can afford to lose 6 games of the competiton and still win it. Tinpot compared to the holy grail of football.
Predicting that CR will flop at the WC is like predicting that Bayern won't get relegated in Bundesliga. However, an interesting thing is that in CRs entire career, the two best Portugal performances in tournaments have been without him (France 16, Switzerland 22). Coincidence?
Just imagine someone told you a few years ago that Messi will retire being an even bigger hero in Argentina than he is in Barcelona. Absolutely unbelievable what happened in the last 2 years.
Objectively I would say that a WC should have the value of 3-4 UCL trophies. However, I still believe that a WC winner would not even exchange this trophy for 10 UCL trophies, it's just a different dimension.
Kroos being the best player of the 2014 WC is one of the worst takes a person can have. 2 good performances only, worst player in final, almost cost us the title. Wasn't the best performer once. There is a reason why no in Germany no one thinks about Kroos when talking about 2014
"All the big european clubs wanted me. But I simply love the arabic world and my muslim brothers so much that I had to give them something back for their support over the years. That's why the goat decided to conquer another part of the world"
I can already hear it.
Cristiano Ronaldo has received a formal proposal from Al Nassr, confirmed. 🚨🇸🇦
#Ronaldo
Almost €200m per season until 2025.
But… big part is sponsor deals, so it’s not clear yet if image rights can be agreed.
Nothing done/signed or decided.
Cristiano, focused on World Cup.
2018 WC -> plays as a winger and delivers the 2nd best teenage WC in history
2022 WC -> plays as a winger and delivers an all-time-great-tournament
2021 Euro -> plays CF, 2nd fiddle to Benzema = disaster
Conclusion by Galtier = play him CF.
If a "washed" R9 who did not play football for almost 3 years is capable of producing this, I feel very confident about saying that he is top 3-4 ever based on pure footballing talent. Most unlucky player ever.
The fact that Brazil fans have to celebrate about Messi not scoring a goal against them again shows how finished this football nation is as a whole. That's the kind of things they have to celebrate now. Crazy downfall.
Any argument why this genius couldn't be at least top 10 ever? From what I've seen and read he should have a claim. He lacks nothing for me to be there.
I suggest everyone to watch him play and not buying the narrative of him being just a legendary striker, he had it all for me.
If Cristiano Ronaldo played with the rules old greats had to cope with, he would have played:
- 1 or 2 World Cups only (wouldn't have qualified for 2010,2014,2022 at least)
- 1 Euro (2004 at home + no trophy in 2016)
- 2 UCL seasons in his whole Madrid career
Lucky in time.
"Pelé in 1959 scored 125 goals"
- Commentator Brazil-Czechoslovakia (1970).
Back then, everyone knew they were all valid. But ofc, the average modern football fan born in 2004 knows better and declares them as friendlies.
Saying Cristiano Ronaldo would be better than R9 bc of longevity and inflantaned super-team-era-stats is like saying Lewandowski is better than van Basten. Absolutely impossible if you watch football with your own eyes.
@Abas_RMA
Playing football. Better dribbler by some distance, more speed, just as good as a finisher, way better technique. Just an entirely different level on a footballing basic.
@DouriAveiro
The WC is just way more difficult to win. Less oportunities in general, almost 0 room for errors, much more pressure, you have to rely on your footballing ability and can't rely on your manager, countries can't buy their way to success and I could go on like that for half an hour
0% sportsmanship. Just as always and just as expected. As rich as he may be, he is truly a sad soul. Thankfully it's over, we'll probably never see a worse human being in football ever again.

’s video regarding Messi’s Ballon d’Or.
Tomás Roncero in a video: “Hello friends what we knew has happened, they were going to give another Ballon d’Or to Messi. He went to retire at Miami, but he was already looking
If someone really believes that Neymar wins a Ballon D'or while playing in Messi's team he's just absolutely braindead. The only way Neymar could have won a BDO was to win the World Cup with Brazil or win UCL with a club in which he's the main player.
Bale is the best example of how the excuses that a player is unlucky with his country don't count. Ofc you'll probably never win a big title, but a Euro-Semi with Wales is just as legacy defining. Let's see if people like Haaland can do something similar.
Mbappé start of the season has been crazy, not really surprising considering he is finally playing at his position again. But ofc people were stupid enough to think he was "lucky" to opperate as Neymar's/Messi's outlet last season lmao.
@Haaaddii10
So when did I say it was the greatest performance of all time. But if you don't see that it was a special performance, it doesn't really speak for you
Laughable to quote me while having me blocked so I can't respond, but since someone sent it to me:
It's about his football, don't care on how he was as a person. As a fan, I'm a consumer of what happens on the pitch, everything else is a case for the judiciary, not my business.
Zizou is probably the most loved and most adored player ever. Sadly 15 year old Twitter historians found out he ghosted against Cagliari and Bologna in April 1999 so he can't be top 10 ever :(
Brazil are so carried by the Pelé era it's insane:
Post Pelé Brazil reached 3/13 WC finals. Germany reached 6 finals, Argentina reached 5 finals. Considering Brazil generally had the best players material even post 1970, that's an insane underarchivement.
This guy has no clue about Guardiola. Guardiola always changed his playing style for the sake of winning things. Compare his Barca side to his City side which, in their treble winning season, played with 4 CBs and Haaland as a CF. If he was stubborn, he wouldn't be that succesful
After watching few more performances that were suggested to me:
You have to give CR7 credit for what he is, an amazing scorer with great dedication.
Still, footballing wise, there is absolutely no chance, that this guy is one of the best who have ever played the game. Impossible
What is the best performance ever by CR7? Not the one he scored the most goals in, not the most "clutch", but just the best footballing performance he ever delivered on a football pitch?
Fail comps are always insanely embarrassing (imagine spending your time doing it) but to make a fail comp of a 16 year old who actually played a good first half and assisted the first goal might be the saddest thing I've seen anyone doing here on Twitter.
First of all, utter nonsense.
Apart from that: Mbappé will never reach Messi level as he lacks the talent compared to him. But there is absolutely no reason, why he wouldn't be able to surpass CR. I am actually pretty sure he will.
🎙️Guti: "Vinicius Jr é muito melhor que o Mbappé. Vini não precisa de nada para decidir uma partida. Mbappé precisa de um time que jogue para ele para conseguir decidir." 👀

If you would try to predict the best XI for the next 10 years, you will more or less get the XI Real Madrid is going to have from the next season on. Insane business.
@SelecaoTalk
You can never overrun superior footballers. Last UCL final proved that again. Technical abilitly was and will always be the most important.
Pure retardism.
Maradona was in conversation for being the best player in the world for 11-12 year straight. R9 also been the best in the world for about 7 years and and the reason he wasn't anymore afterwars is solely due to injuries that he can't do anything about.
The fact that Bellingham scores so many goals is simply because he literally plays as a half forward/SS. This is ofc not a criticism, he is still doing very well, but people should stop pretending that he is scoring so many goals while being a midfielder, that's not the case.
@DouriAveiro
I don't know exactly what you're trying to say but I think the fact that CR was able to be his teams best UCL performer in 5 winning campaigns while not being able to have even one good WC-KO-performance is a clear indication on which platform is harder to perform at
@DouriAveiro
The ability to perform when it matters the most isn't random at all. The players who are capable of playing their best football under the most difficult circumstances with the most pressure, are the best players. Always been the case. But ofc, as a CR fan I also wouldn't admit.
Yes but buying every single 14 year old south american or african talent is wonderful for football and it's development. Kroos is by far the biggest twat and the biggest hypocrite in football right now. Or he's just too stupid.
Performing at the WC is what makes the difference. As an all time great, you have to perform well at the biggest stage, unless you come from a country that doesn't have a chance to participate.
You don't necessarily have to win it tho, as football is a team sport in the end.
THREAD | A short thread regarding the World Cup and why people should stop believing that winning the World Cup is what makes the difference between getting ranked among the GOAT'S or not as an individual player.
Kroos is class and one of the best midfielders of his generation. But that's it. Stop making him better than he is. "Better than iniesta" for goodness sake what am i reading
Luis Suárez, who turns 37 next month and has been struggling with serious knee problems, ends the Brazilian league as the player with the most goal contributions in the season - 17 goals and 11 assists, 28 in total, in 33 matches. He was the 2nd highest goalscorer and joint
Scenes like this are negative actions according to SofaScore bc it doesn't count as a dribbling + it's a BCM (big chance missed) so it makes his rating worse. Just to show you how laughable this app is.
Cristiano is just the example that benefits the most from modern rules. But generally, the tweet is just there to show how stupid it is to compare any players from different eras. People slander R9 for only 14 UCL goals but completely ignore the time he played in for example.
@NazTechez
Yeah it's crazy. He's so bitter now, especially since Messi won the World Cup he acts like a 10 year old kid. He should just relax and be very happy with his career.
I will never get why people hate this much on Zidane on this app. Of course you can critisize him for a lack of consistency and many casuals might overrate him.
But in the end, he's just a beautiful footballer, who proved his capability of playing elite football on every stage.
Haaland is the next big social experiment of football. Will people finally realize that goals are one part of the game but not everything? And also realize how much they overrated other goalscorers of this era?
Or will they fail the test again and give him goat shouts one day?
When Maradona won the league with Napoli in 1989/90 they had a win percentage of 46% with him and a win percentage of 70% without him same story when they won the league in 1986/87 season they won 61% with him and won 100% without him
@GyurkaSarosi
@pelesburner
"the most popular, he dominated social media, his name was recognized from Antarctica to Arctic, everyone imitate his style"
- Based on this logic Beckham is greater than almost every footballer ever. Pls make you judgement based on what they can do on a football pitch
@pelesburner
Well he can't reach Messi all-time. But yes, most are very insescure about Mbappé. Otherwise there is no way you would disrespect the best/most consistent World Cup performer since Pele/Beckenbauer
@ehab74266
Well you always need a bit of luck against a clearly better side like France. They still did pretty well. It's crazy that Portugal hardly had good performances when CR was on the pitch in 20 years of international tournament football.
