I was at the #BlackLivesMattter protest at which NYPD entrapped 1,000+ protesters on the #ManhattanBridge . Initially the protest attempted to get on the bridge via the Brooklyn side on-ramp, but police formed a wall and blocked access to the bridge. 8:20 PM (thread)

Despite all the pressure put on by the NYPD, the protest never came close to being violent. Everyone was super active about deescalating any sparks of violence before they destroyed the protest. An incredibly commendable demonstration, I'm super proud to have been a part of it.
