Hamas have the support (of a large number at least) of the people of Palestine for a bunch of reasons - a very important one being ‘moderate’ parties absolute failure to secure any meaningful change and PA’s collusion w the IDF. It took 30 years for Fatah to tank its own support.

It’s dead easy in my experience to talk to Jewish people about Palestine and not offend them because Jewish people are not the state of israel. The state of israel is, like the UK, a country who’s decisions are basically mandated by capital and the USA.

When will enough Gazans have died for us to say Israel is suitably defended from a region who’s borders, water, power it controls? Has the siege made Israeli children safer up until this point? Is a bigger, deadlier siege likely to encourage lasting peace? This is madness.
