🧵 In the beginning @RocketHealthUG all we did were teleconsultations for 5 years. You could chat, voice/video call the Doctors for a consult 24/7 for just $3. And even those that couldn’t afford had it made available by development agencies, research institutions and grants.

It took 5 years to match the salary I left behind when I moved full time into the startup. Even then, there were staff hired that earned more. Venture building takes a lot of personal sacrifice. It’s a looong game but all you need is 1 blockbuster win and you’re set for life.

For the record a lot of Pre-series A/Pre-breakeven and even post profit but Pre-series A founders don’t earn up to $2500. Many take a pay cut so they have more $$$ to hire more people or pay someone they really need more. But no one talks about that bcos it’s not banter worthy
