I feel very much as l did when Diana stepped back in 1993. She had endured the system for years but by 1997 was starting to get back into her stride. H&M can start straight away & its totally the best thing for them. Yet again the RF have missed a massive opportunity. 😕

I didn’t know what to make of Meghan when she arrived. I didn’t just turn up at engagements because she was going to be royal. Over time the more l saw, the more l liked. I wish l had gone to see her & if l ever meet her l will thank her for all she’s done, especially for Harry.

I was chatting to someone in high office today who attended the Smartworks launch in Leeds. She said how Meghan reminded her of Diana. She said she’s obviously her own woman but theres just something about her that radiates warmth. Not in a creepy copying way. I agree!

That evening Diana stunned the fashion world wearing a beautiful hand beaded dress & jacket to a banquet at the Elysee Palace. It was designed by Victor Edelstein & when it came to her auction this was the hardest dress to part with. So costly she had paid for it in instalments.

Just my opinion but l feel had William and Kate capitalised on the goodwill following their wedding they would be in a much stronger position now. Signs are Harry and Meghan are running with theirs and ultimately could be the ones to keep the monarchy relevant.

I know everyone loves the black divorce dress but for me this Hachi was one of her most iconic gowns. Originally worn in Australia 1983, it was a shot in the arm after all the frothy gowns that had gone before. London 1983, USA 1985, London 1989, Althorp 1989 & London 1997.
