Lidl National Football League Division 2 Round 4
Kildare 0-8
Tipperary 0-7
Full-time
Huge win in the toughest game of the year so far. A late Tipperary missed free-kick means Kildare make it four wins from four in Division 2.
Now 18 wins in a row.

Replies of "Not a peep out of anyone" and "they are probably talked about more in Clare than Kildare" would boil your blood.
They are an enormous story in Kildare and every metric we have reflects that.
We have a ways to go, but these are the ramblings of someone misinformed.
A lot of noise about apparent meltdown in Kildare football, ignoring the women in the county who won the intermediate title last year, are undefeated in the league so far and will be playing senior championship this year. A deadly bandwagon to follow if you just paid attention!
Absolute disgrace. I am happy to speak with anyone from the panel to further discuss their experience of this process.
I have reached out to the Kildare Camogie Board for comment regarding this issue. Questions need to be asked and answered.

2023 journey was simply fantastic!
Naas CBS definitely have the upper hand with chants. Easier when you're winning, but my god they have like six or seven ready to go.
There was also a united moment of "Who's that sexy lino?"
I was more than relieved to see a man in his 40s with the flag I have to say haha.

I don't get too invested in games on an emotional level, such is the job. But chatting to
@maynoothgaa
manager Tom Walsh after this it was hard not to be moved by the passion and pride he has for the club and his players.
Also includes a match report from a tremendous game.
I have put together the last two Leinster Leader Sports in the absence of the great Tommy Callaghan. It's been a challenge and a great honour.
I would like to thank the Kildare U20s for making my job of deciding what my back-page would be a whole lot easier on both occasions!
How can you not smile looking at the final whistle (or klaxon) scenes.
Jumping and running around in pure joy, not knowing what to do you're so happy.
Best feeling in the world. Delighted for this great team.
Kildare had ample (4) goal chances and should have been out of sight.
However, when there is an uncalled infringement directly before the winning score people are well within their right to say it cost them the game.
The referee being crap throughout doesn't nullify that fact.
I hate discussing this type of thing but there is no getting away from how poor of a game the referee had in Kildare v Monaghan.
There were a plethora of bad calls against both teams. It seemed almost inevitable that it would cost one team in such a close game. It cost Kildare.

Superb second half. Outscored Meath 0-7 to 0-3.
Disappointing result with the first half mistakes, but hugely improved performances that shows what this team is capable of at Senior level.
A nice message from a man I couldn't have done it without!
Tommy got me my first job in journalism, a job I love. He has been, and remains, a great help to this day too.
Partial media blackout because of no resolution to welfare issues.
And now this. Parnell Park (10 mins from Croker) on the day of the All-Ireland Hurling final is a great way to put people off.
Die hards will go but you want to entice people.
The ladies deserve better.
The LGFA have fixed the Kildare Ladies All Ireland semi final v Wexford for 4pm on Sunday 23rd July. Basically around the same time as the All Ireland Hurling Final (3.30pm). Oh, and it's in Parnell Park!! This is extremely unfair on the players and fans of both counties. 😠

There was no lack of effort or courage.
Some physicality differences and mistakes in there certainly, but these are two teams in very different stages of their development.

Him getting "smoked" is frankly a work of fiction. He had a below par game.
POTM Mannion had several bad wides too and McCarthy could have easily been dismissed.
But it's always about David.
Clifford was smoked against Dublin and poor against Tyrone yet still ppl think he is footballer of the year. Not for me - James Mc led Dublin to glory without having his best day yest! He’s a born winner and leader.

I am asking you to explain what you meant by specific statements. Comments about how they're more discussed in Clare than at home is the type of condescending nonsense I thought you would be against.
Also, to accuse someone questioning you as "taking offence" is quite something.
A decent recounting of events thus far, not a huge amount new. But I can certainly empathise with that in this situation.
This is seemingly intended to be an objective piece, but ends with a puzzling jab at the players.
It feels both out of place and out of touch.
The path to the final for our three Leinster finalists this weekend. What a journey these lads have been on. Probably a full year non stop and as for Naas, multiple years non stop! The prize for being successful!
