A lot of noise about apparent meltdown in Kildare football, ignoring the women in the county who won the intermediate title last year, are undefeated in the league so far and will be playing senior championship this year. A deadly bandwagon to follow if you just paid attention!

Kildare had ample (4) goal chances and should have been out of sight. However, when there is an uncalled infringement directly before the winning score people are well within their right to say it cost them the game. The referee being crap throughout doesn't nullify that fact.

I hate discussing this type of thing but there is no getting away from how poor of a game the referee had in Kildare v Monaghan. There were a plethora of bad calls against both teams. It seemed almost inevitable that it would cost one team in such a close game. It cost Kildare.
