Hello, I am excited to say that
@noreenahertz
new book - 'The Lonely Century' - will be published in the UK on 10th September.
It is incredibly thought-provoking and interesting.
You can pre-order it here: or at your local bookshop.
Voting Labour today is to decide that racism against a particular minority community is a price worth paying for other political goals. Those doing so should be honest that that's the choice they have made.
I admired you for a while. You seemed to be standing up to antisemitism in the Labour Party. But in the end you are campaigning to put an antisemite in Downing Street. You've sold the Jewish community out.
The election of Pete Willsman to Labour's NEC means that the party's membership is directly voting for anti-semites. The Labour Party is institutionally anti-semitic. This is deeply distressing to the Jewish community and an ugly shame on a once tolerant party.
With the election of Pete Willsman to the NEC the Labour membership has shown itself to be institutionally anti-semitic. The party is now led by an anti-semite and increasingly populated by anti-semites. It's horrifying that this is the second largest political party in the UK.
BREAKING: The Jewish Labour Movement's closing submission to the Equalities and Human Rights Commission have been leaked in full, the document can be read at the link below. I will tweet out its conclusions in the thread below:

@lucianaberger
says she can no longer be associated with the institutionally anti-semitic Labour Party. She is a woman of immense courage and conviction. I have huge respect for her.
Jeremy Corbyn is a racist, an anti-semite and a terrorist sympathiser. There is clear and substantial evidence of this purely and directly from his own words and actions.
The video released today of the leader of
@UKLabour
making inexcusable comments - defended by a party spokesman - makes me as a proud British Jew feel unwelcome in my own party. I’ve lived in Britain all my life and I don’t need any lessons in history/irony.
This commentary by Orla Guerin on
@BBCNews
of Israeli soldiers visiting
@yadvashem
- the Holocaust memorial - is dishonest, damaging and obscene. Linking the destruction of 6m Jews with Israeli occupation is a lazy act of bias.
Jeremy Corbyn personally wanted a statement added today that allowed for the foundation of Israel to be described as racist. Would he propose the same for the Islamic state of Iran or is this just something special for the Jewish nation?
All true from Macron: "Brexit has shown us one thing - and I fully respect British sovereignty in saying this - it has demonstrated that those who said you can easily do without Europe, that it will all go very well, that it is easy and there will be lots of money, are liars."
A Jewish woman has left the party because of anti-semitic bullying. Every Labour MP needs to ask themselves - are they willing to stay in a party that is institutionally racist?
What possible reason could the government have for not supporting free school meals for children who need them over the school holidays? To not do so would be both heartless and tone-deaf.
Ending child poverty is a bigger trophy than any in football
20th birthday: Met displaced Iraqi and Yazidi girls in Kurdistan.
21st birthday: Met girls in Brazil who don’t have access to school.
22nd Birthday: celebrated with girls in Ethiopia.
23rd Birthday: to be held tomorrow on 12th July 🎂 2/2
Two very disturbing developments for British Jews in the last 24 hours:
- A British newspaper leads with claims of Jewish conspiracy in an echo of Nazi newspapers of the 1930's.
- A senior union leader attacks British Jews for standing up to anti-semitism.
Truly frightening.
Lord Sacks is a man of wisdom and humanity. When a respected Rabbi is attacked for raising concerns about anti-semitism it tells you how serious the problem has become.
Jeremy Corbyn's failure to deal with anti-semitism in his party has lifted a rock off something many British Jews hoped was in the past. There are now many thousands of people confident enough to express their poisonous anti-semitism in public forums without any inhibition.
Len McCluskey's article on antisemitism is despicable. Blames those suffering the abuse. Attacks those standing against racism. Corbyn's Labour Party descends further into the sewers.
If Shami Chakrabarti thinks she is the right person to have a cup of tea and talk with Jewish leaders she is utterly deluded. Her report on anti-semitism was a sham for which she received a peerage. She has no credibility with many British Jews.
Just now
@BBCr4today
Margaret Hodge: dignified & spot on “1 step forward 2 steps back” Shami Chakrabarti: desperate & thinks
#LabourAntisemitism
can be sorted over a cup of tea.
Meanwhile millions of ppl despair at the state of Bristish politics
Labour used to be a party that many Jewish people felt an affinity to. No longer. Jeremy Corbyn is an utter disgrace to his party and the values of tolerance and community that is Britain at its best.
McDonnell: "I lost a debate for 30 years, and I stayed within the party."
The Labour leadership just don't get it. This isn't a debating point. You're either anti-semitic or you're not.
The Labour Party Conference: a good way of reminding voters that Labour is now led by political extremists, communists, terrorist sympathisers, anti-semites, incompetents and crackpots.
Huge

in Portland Place. Can’t see how it will move south down Regent St as thousands are still heading north from Oxford Circus, being corralled round onto Mortimer St then Gt Portland St to join rear.. which is now up near the park.
I understand another organised Twitterstorm is planned for tonight to challenge the Jewish community's concerns about anti-semitism in the Labour Party. Always a good idea to make a minority community feel their concerns about racism aren't real...
Albert Speer was a leading Nazi who failed to recognise his complicity in the Holocaust. Your comparison is a disgrace and speaks to the toxicity of today's Labour Party
In any other circumstances, party leaders would do everything they could to avoid serious damage to the economy. Why are they silent now?
BBC News - Brexit: Official forecasts suggest economies throughout UK will be hit
The scariest part of this is that there will be zero consequences for such overt racism from a Union leader. Something profoundly dangerous has shifted in British society.
Jeremy Corbyn is the unluckiest man in politics. The poor guy keeps inadvertently finding himself attending ceremonies for terrorists and spending time with Holocaust deniers and anti-semites. So unfortunate!
Corbyn's Labour will try and use its Party Conference this week to try and appear fit for government. The truth is that the party's leadership is dominated by extremists, communists and anti-semites.
This is so deeply depressing. Leading Corbynites aggressively attacking the Jewish community for standing up to racism. No other minority community would be attacked in this way
McCluskey: it's time to put this antisemitism row behind us
Also McCluskey: jewish leaders and media are 'truculent', 'hostile', 'thoroughly irresponsible', 'fear-mongerers', 'intransigent', 'hostile', 'provocative', and I don't like Chuka Umunna
Jeremy Corbyn's failure to mention Jews in his Holocaust Memorial Day message is deeply offensive and speaks volumes about his attitude to the Jewish community.
Liverpool's transfer business outstanding. Midfield and attack next season of Keita, Fabinho, Fekir, Mane, Firminho, Salah. It's a world away from where the club was three years ago.
With the possibility of power Jeremy Corbyn is attempting to re-make himself as a mainstream politician. The truth is that he is an extremist with anti-semitic views and a habit of associating with terrorists.
Jeremy Corbyn is trapped by spending years associating with anti-semites and their poisonous rhetoric. If he accepts the full definition of anti-semitism he's clearly breached it on numerous occasions.
Jeremy Corbyn not prepared to tell his supporters not to share platforms with anti-semites. How can that possibly be described as taking anti-semitism in the Labour Party seriously?
A much-needed update from
@Sathnam
on life with his nieces. I'm hoping for a book, then a TV series and ultimately the three of them forming the government.
This weekend I visited Auschwitz. I can't find the words to describe the horror, barbarity and overwhelming sadness of the place.
If you can, please visit. To honour the vast numbers who lost their lives and as a warning from history.
