There are reports of a female bobcat with kittens in the woods at Pen Park that connects from the fitness trail area down along the fence with RiverRun where the trail goes down to the river. Please exercise caution and do NOT disturb or attempt to approach them.

☀️🌒 City staff gathered on the Downtown Mall this afternoon for a brief solar eclipse watch party! The clouds covered the eclipse at peak, it's events like this that remind you what community is all about, and the beauty of nature all around us...especially in Charlottesville!
Happy Solar Eclipse Day! The eclipse begins at 2 PM with maximum coverage happening at 3:17 PM. The eclipse ends at 4:31 PM. NEVER look at the eclipse with the naked eye or everyday sunglasses.
