Was great to be back casting LoL yesterday on
#NACL
I made a reel for '23 just never posted it publicly...till now ๐

TSM:
Thanks for being the subreddit I always visited when you lost from '14-'18.
Thanks for winning an international championship for NA.
Thanks for taking FTX money and inflating contracts and everything when it wasn't necessary.
Hope you import NA players in LPL
If
@lolesports
really wants to copy the NFL and traditional sports they would've built the most cohesive youth sports program and put the game in every high school across the country.
HS esports are the long term answer to LoL & it's popularity in NA.
I now have enough confirmation from multiple sources that I'm confident the following is real, and I have come to the conclusion that every day extra counts, so it is worth tweeting.
Riot held an owners meeting where they floated the idea of reducing LCS from 10 teams to 8
This is a bit against the grain BUT:
#LCS
orgs voted to not continue 2nd team requirements. The 7/10 teams who didn't continue with
#NACL
did nothing else to invest in talent this split despite their initial announcements.
My thought? Fuck'em. Give me people, teams, and owners
When I was a sophomore in high school I remember rushing home to watch TSM vs. CLG for the 1st game of
#LCS
.
Took me 2.5 years to go from 0 to 1. Thanks to everyone who helped me get here, was an honor and a privilege to play a small role in the
#LCS
this week.
High key
@jojopyunlol
is having a great tournament.
Caps Faker Xiaohu doesn't matter, kid isn't afraid of shit and has been EGs most consistent performer as the youngest player in the tournament in his international debut
#MSI2022
PR 101: be consistent
Stepping down or retiring for Huni?
Shenyi played poorly but are we really publicly calling a player a liability? What does stepping down mean? Seems like he was forced out.
Differences between the reddit post and twitter posts aren't acceptable.
Not toxic for industry: Nuking economy for entire league and putting over 100 jobs at risk which will be advantageous to teams with more money who can afford to keep 2nd team and competitive advantage
Toxic for Industry: Wrong numbers bad
Training facility: $40 million
LCS team salary: $2 million
Other employee salaries: $1 million
NACL team salary: $400k
Player/staff housing: $40k/month

Many are disappointed by this move.
I'm moreso disappointed by the community's discussion around this move.
Many reactions to the 1st piece of the
#LCS
offseason move is "why another import and why not NA talent." A clear gut reaction that fans have felt for awhile fueled by
[Sources] Midlaner Mask ๐ฐ๐ท has reached a verbal agreement with Immortals in the LCS.
This move marks the debut of the LCS offseason.

Team BDS was in
#LEC
finals this split with a roster of players that all came from ERLs.
Maybe now that our
#LCS
orgs have saved ~$500k this split they can buyout those players and buff up our league!
Wrong. TSM is moving to CN to save their viewership and therefore League of Legends.
Sam Bankman-Fried will partner with TSM AGAIN to build a $40 million dollar Baylife bungalow modeled after the FTX compound in the Bahamas.
The compound will feature Dyrus streaming 24/7
Honestly at this point all I can say is... good fucking riddance.
While it's super sad to lose the TSM who defined the league for years, I already felt like we lost them years ago & it has felt clear TSM no longer cared about the LCS.
Thank you to
@Disguised
After a tumultuous offseason where
#NACL
changes caused many
#LCS
affiliates to drop, DSG came in and treated this like a tier 1 league and brought more eyes and attention to tier 2 than weโve ever had.
Lucky to have a great partner come in.
G2's 2nd half of the MSI group was a collapse. 2nd week of
#Worlds2022
wasn't a good look for G2 either.
1st time in 4 Worlds Caps doesn't make it to the bracket stage.
1st time in 5 Worlds Jankos doesn't make it to the bracket stage
The key to our roster has arrived.
Please join us in giving
@TSMMaple
a warm welcome to the TSM family! We're incredibly excited for him to take on the starting position as our LCS mid laner.
His experience and leadership will be pivotal to the success of our roster.
Doomsday NA fan: Damn NA 0-3 we suck.
NA Kool Aid enjoyer: 2 games had drafts that didn't fit
#LCS
wincons and in the 1 game with a good draft our 3 seed took the
#LPL
1 seed and tournament favorite JDG to the closest game of the tournament on day 1 of
#Worlds2022
groups.
Emenes was just honoring American history by assassinating everyone on his way out on the 60th anniversary of JFKโs assassination.
Much like that event, it was all an inside job.
Surprise! I'll be guesting on
@LCK
a bit for the rest of the split.
Been watching
#LCK
since the OGN days back in S3. Privilege to play a small part in a show and region that's brought me so much joy over the years. Will be seeing you on the carpet space tele!
Yes the solution to NA talent development is to ask every teen who wants to go pro to drop $2k to go overseas for a few weeks to play on that LoL ladder. Very sustainable with 0 flaws just look at how well itโs gone for OCE!
Parents will be 100% on board too! More cultured kids!
KCorp, the pride and joy of France, are 4-14 in 2 splits and failed to make playoffs after firing their coach after the 1st split.
Immortals, the pride and joy of the Great Lakes Region, missed playoffs going 3-11 and fired their coach going into split 2.
100 Thieves and EG are 2 out of the 3 orgs that fielded Amateur teams this split.
100T were in the finals of
#ProvingGrounds
(again) as well.
2 teams and staffs that have invested heavily in the NA ecosystem. Hard to pick a side tomorrow. Pumped to see both in the
#LCS
finals.
On another note:
TSM bringing over LDL players to primarily play full scaling comps is weird.
Iโd much rather be in CLGโs shoes where at least in their losses theyโre losing by doing too much or overreaching.
TSM are playing to do nothing. Thatโs concerning
#LCS
I believe 5fire was the perfect candidate to go to a small market team with a coach that was confident he could get the most out of 5fire.
He beat every Academy team with 0 salary and a small staff.
He won every AM tournament.
He never saw the reward.
The system failed 5fire.
@IWDominate
Been his best worlds since 2017 which was the last worlds where I felt like he was the best player at the tournament.
Hasnโt been the best player but heโs been outstanding
Remember when community sentiment was EG took a bigger risk this off-season not signing Jensen compared to TSM & C9โs off-seasons?
Gotta feel sweet in the EG camp to shut everyone up and make it to top 3
#LCS
EG won
#LCS
spring split.
CLG's
#Academy
all-star lineup is 3rd in the standings in the back half of summer.
Almost like there is talent in NA.
NA has always had talented players, just needed time to get more talented staff in the ecosystem to bring it out of the players.
LCS Finals: TL vs. 100
Academy finals: TL vs. C9
Proving Grounds finals: TL vs. 100 (both teams with subs)
3 teams going to worlds: 100, TL, C9
Insane split from these 3 orgs
@LCSOfficial
#LCS
@IWDominate
He's the best player in the league and he's so good and so much better than the competition it's hard to talk about him.
Also I must be a corporate goon and say we rebranded to Challengers now.
C9 Internal Promotions:
LCS Mid Lane to Top Lane: โ
LCS Champion/Scrim ADC to Support: โ
Former Mid Laner to Mid Lane: โ
Acad Mid to Mid: โ๏ธ
Expect the unexpected
I hope Copy is considered for mid lane promotion.
I know C9 has money and lofty worlds aspirations and incorporating a young player can be risky especially in summer.
I think Copy has proven he deserves an
#LCS
opportunity and hey, an NA mid can win the league ๐คช
[Sources] Cloud9 are making roster changes for summer. Fudge ๐ฆ๐บ is expected to return to the toplane. The team is also exploring options in midlane and support.
C9A will also have changes
Hot take:
Azir being disabled made League more fun for me to watch this spring, and seeing games where it's back has taken some of the fun out of discovering new picks/matchups/scenarios given what a main stay it's been in LoL for so long.
Jensen returning to C9 in a meme video announcement that honors few to none of the historical importance of his success with C9 is disappointing for me.
One of the greatest mids in
#LCS
history returning to his 1st org and trying to win a trophy for them is a great story.
This game is 13 years old.
Faker has been competing for 10.
When he plays Ryze, he changes the way I look at the game, how to play the map, and what you can do with Realm Warp.
Unbelievable
#Worlds2022
And to my friend Eain: I'm fucking proud of you dude ๐ฅฒโค๏ธ and I hope you are proud of yourself. Your love for the game is infectious and you always push me to be better.
Now the work really starts ๐ช
Shoutout to all the owners who ignored
#NACL
viewership significantly grew this past regular season with the weekend time slot and LEC raids.
Without them we would've never received $300k. This was worth nuking the entire economy for the players in the league, we will save NA๐
Have me tell your League's story in 2022.
Looking for color casting and/or analyst desk positions for League of Legends.
I can travel, and I'm also willing to relocate for major 4 region opportunities.

Wow NA has introduced this cool new idea called Champs Queue where the pros play on the 14.1 patch and this has never ever been attempted or done before and this is the 1st EVER GAME
Looking like 3 or 4 ADs (pending) were imported into the system this year.
This player, like 5fire, beat every Academy team with 0 salary.
Put himself in EUW and hit challenger during Worlds.
Would've won collegiate with MU in 2020.
Teamless. Now retired.
๐ข
Didn't find a team for 2022. Retiring until further notice. Don't have much else to say other than thanks to everyone for all the support through the years. GGs GL HF โฅ๏ธ
This past week in NA LoL
@jojopyunlol
reached finals as a 17 year old mid laner in his 1st
#LCS
tournament
@GeneralSniperr
won the 1st
#ProvingGrounds
and Riot affiliated event as a 15 year old top laner, the highest level of competition he's allowed to compete in.
@IWDominate
Ya also do it a split early, last minute, and leave a bunch of young men who dropped everything to join the path to pro whether theyโre rookies or have been in the league for years with no opportunities to find other opportunities in the off-season super sick!!
No, Toast and DSG lost money this year. They were public about it.
Within a year, the DSG account has as many followers as IMT, and Toast has kept ownership. Thatโs valuable.
Also itโs year 1, if you have a green bottom line in esports youโre running a 0 ambition business.
Signs you have fucked up as IMT:
-People are arguing you had your best split in years (I agree) and you still finished last
-You finished last and people are mad you fired your coach
-Youโre trying to moneyball but wonโt hold onto the staff trying to do it
You gotta do some
Today we are saying goodbye to our LCS Head Coach,
@sharkz
.
We'd like to thank Alex for all his hard work and commitment to the team during Spring Split, and we wish him the best.
Last year when Jojo was in
#Academy
he didn't do any interviews until end of summer. Coaches in the past said he would head to the bathroom early sometimes to not get picked.
Seeing him interview now and for the past year...it's cool to see that growth, not to mention gameplay.
Wild to think that Clozer and somewhat VicLa were considered stronger mids than Zeka in the
#LCK
regular season.
Zeka had high highs but there were also games where he was invisible.
As the 4th seed mid at
#Worlds2022
Zeka has been one of the best performers in the tournament.
Iโve been frustrated with the death of CQ but if it dies again this split I donโt know what else to say.
35 pros just lost a job. CQ in theory is the best ping for pros & most controlled environment to compete and improve. It has to work this split for the betterment of everyone
5fire didnโt leave a good impression on teams at his 1st SGC.
I saw 5fire make a lot of strides to be a better teammate and change his reputation, and regardless of the above you canโt argue with his results and ability.
But, NA imported 4 mid laners this offseason.
Didn't find a team for 2022. Retiring until further notice, if you have an esports job opening that pays a livable wage please reach out. Don't really have much else to say other than thanks to everyone for all the support through the years, sorry I let you all down. GGs GL HF โฅ๏ธ
In the next 24 hours we have...
T1 vs. GenG
EDG vs. WE
G2 vs. FNC
C9 vs. TSM
All with
#Worlds
implications on the line, and the finals spot for EU & NA
If these matches deliver, this could be the greatest day of
@lolesports
in the history of League of Legends across the globe.
C9 is in an interesting conundrum moving into spring as I firmly believe Copy is currently a far superior mid laner compared to Fudge but they also put all their marketing chips into Fudge
#LCS
If you don't believe me, watch his Academy VoDs. Also currently he's
#1
in NA
