I then made sure he was safe, and left him at a bar he goes to (‘the cool place in town’ as he said). I asked the manager if he’d be ok. He smiled & said ‘Oh yes, he comes in here a lot’. So thank you Michael, for making an historic moment even more special. It was a privilege.

This is so sad. It’s the hardest thing we animal lovers do, is to make The Final Decision for our beloved pets, but I could never NOT hold their paw. They give us so much love - it’s the least we can do. We should never desert them in their final moments.

We had a very special visitor today in Gloucestershire. HRH The Countess of Wessex travelled to our dairy, meeting students from @RoyalAgUni @AddingtonFund to which I’m lucky enough to be a Vice-Patron, & other farming leaders in the county. A beautiful and happy day.

I learned a tough lesson in 2020 - when you share a unique & special idea with someone you thought was trustworthy, because of their job, which I did in 2016, theres a chance they’ll steal it, & claim it was theirs. It’s hard to accept. Be careful who you share your #dreams with.

My little Sweep was sweet inside and out. When she wasn’t being funny, being a Mum, hunting for irresistible smells, she was my shadow, and her happiest place was right by my side. I miss those gentle cuddles. 💔

We’ve lost loved ones & many of us have lost beloved pets. As many of you know the legend that was my Sweep died in Feb. Not a day goes by that I don’t look for her, still. It feels very strange leaving her in 2021. I hope you’re sleeping well darling little girl. I miss you.

It’s that time of year again - our annual #yew #hedge trim. It takes two men 2 weeks to complete the job. Not surprised - it is the tallest yew hedge in Europe - if not world! The clippings go towards making the cancer treatment #taxol
