Last day in City Hospital! Feel very privileged to have been part of the exceptional renal & transplant team for 2 years. Most intense but amazing training of my career! The benefits of working in the same unit for a longer period is often lacking in modern medical training

Last clinical shift in Mater before PhD done. Gen Med year completed ✅️ Mix of sadness & (to be honest) relief to be stepping back from full time clinical work. Will miss having this beautiful chapel for moments of quiet reflection

Im a 31y/o relatively senior "junior" doctor. Rota ends 1st Feb. Still to receive new rota even though its less than 3 weeks. So can't make any plans. How do you do this with kids/ caring responsibilities? Need to be talking about pay AND conditions in retaining NHS staff

Was told to "educate myself" on COVID-19 antibodies by reading a publication that I'm not only a listed author on but I also wrote the trial's protocol. Didn't let on and explained the actual findings to be told I'd obviously misinterpreted them Said nothing. Too draining

For every Covid-19 patient there's in Intensive Care there's 10 on medical wards Colleagues on medical wards been working flat out for months; particularly resp teams Let's not forget them & the fact their patients have also missed important treatment too during this pandemic

This seems utterly ridiculous... Worry about consequence to clinical academic training- which is already under strain. Without time in academia as FY2 not sure I'd have been competitive enough for the funding/opportunities I have required to continue clinical academic training

People need to be careful what they are sharing. Anxiety amongst healthcare staff already high without unverified stories of nurses collapsing dead whilst on duty being shared. This is not in keeping with clinical picture of covid-19. Be responsible in your social media use.

@DamianFog Happy for BMA to renegotiate these days for extra AL. But, as one of the many junior docs still waiting for a rota 3 weeks before start date think theres a lot of work to be done on DoH/Trust side when it comes to rotas & safe staffing that need priority rather than 2 days a year
