I have no interest in pursuing this but facts need to be stated: Hardwick told me on Friday he has no knowledge of the incidents. Now he says he dealt with it two days earlier. One of the player’s managers seemed genuinely not to have heard of it on Friday

To debate this issue suggests a lack of respect and today Barass deserves nothing but total respect. However the Premiership Cup is just that. The team that wins it is the champion of Australia. Among the list of AFL awards most, if not all, honour Victorians. Sorry - No

There is a view from some at headquarters the premiership cup is sacred and doesn’t need to have a name affixed to it. So it will be strongly debated at the commission. I reckon the Barassi Cup has a perfect ring to it #afl
