Burl Toler, a standout linebacker at the University of San Francisco, began his officiating career working college games in the Bay Area. In 1965, the NFL hired him as a head linesman, making him the first African-American official in any major professional sports league.

Great times last week out at the Fred Biletnikoff Hall of Fame Invitational! Thankful to be able to connect with so many amazing individuals. Love to my former position Coach for The Oakland Raiders & Legend, Coach Biletnikoff and the amazing things he continues to do.
Home grown to the league? Berkeley has got what you need.
Our coaching staff will be canvassing the Bay Area all day tomorrow looking for the next great hometown hero. Who thinks they have next?
