Still need 2 make progress. At my daughter’s HS BB tourney & the programs are using “lady” when describing the girls teams while the boys team just say the mascot. The message is they are the “real” team. Get rid of the “Lady” & show everyone both programs have equal importance.

Parent Tip: If you are contacting a coach or an administrator in anger, but don’t let your son or daughter know because “they’d be so embarrassed you are ‘advocating’ for them”, that’s a pretty good indication you shouldn’t be making that contact.

I’m over hearing parents make excuses for their child’s poor behavior in sports with “they are just so competitive.” Instead of justifying the behavior, let’s teach kids that you can be fiercely competitive AND a good sport. They are not mutually exclusive.

My 81 yr-old dad is getting a cancer treatment today. Seeing him go through these treatments has been excruciating. Just saw a father carrying his 1-yr old son in for treatments. The little boy started crying as he entered. Cancer is brutal & seeing it in a child is heartbreaking

Just received word from our compliance staff that starting in 2023 NCAA Div 1 VB will now have 32 contests (matches) rather than 28 dates. This means coaches won’t feel the need to play multiple matches in one day. This is a HUGE day for Div 1 volleyball players safety!!

Since I was in HS, the girls have always played a week b4 the boys at state BB in Neb. Real question…how is this legal from a Title IX perspective? Every year, boys get a week more season than the girls. Legally,wouldn’t this need to vary every other year to be in compliance?

I’m not a transfer portal hater. I think there are some good reasons a player should consider transferring. With that said, think wisely before you do. Many players don’t find a home…or at least not the utopia they are dreaming about. As they say…the grass isn’t always greener.

I want to thank our amazing fans who have supported this great group all season & supported us after our loss Sat. Although it was a disappointing end to a great season, one loss can’t take away the joy we had on & off the court. I’m heartbroken & grateful in the same breath.

Best day! Creighton win vs Providence, capped off by a semi-final win at State for the Booth girls and team. So very grateful I was able to attend BOTH games. First ever State Championship Volleyball game for Elkhorn North tomorrow! Let’s GO!!

We did something today for the first time in over a year.....we played volleyball without masks on. I can’t explain how wonderful it was to see all of their beautiful smiles. I have missed that more than I realized.

How about this? Wednesday's Creighton/Nebraska Volleyball match drew 246,000 viewers on FS1. The MLB game that they cut to near the end of the 4th set (pushing the volleyball match to FS2) attracted 240,000.
