We're hosting THREE clinics at MIT this summer! Great opportunity for all rising 9-12 graders to work with our staff, see the campus of the number one school in the known universe, and meet coaches from other high-academic institutions! Sign up now!
What 2023’s with unweighted 4.0 GPA’s have I not chatted with yet??? Please shoot me a DM (not a response to this message) with your transcript (not your film).
#RollTech
Still looking for 2023s with at least a 750 math on their SAT or at least a 32 math and science on their ACT! Shoot me a message with copy of your transcript and SAT/ACT score breakdown!
Recruits - I’m always happy to see that you’re working hard to become a better ball player. However, I (and most coaches at high-academic schools) am much more interested in hearing that you’re doing all you can to make yourself a stronger student.
#RollTech
#WinStudyRepeat
It’s not always about the GPA, fellas. Having a 4.0 means very little if you’ve only taken four years of Underwater Basketweaving. Challenge yourself in the classroom. If the option to take AP/IB classes over Honors presents itself, rise to the occasion.
High school coaches, we're still looking for those high-academic 2023 guys! DMs are open and I'm happy to provide information on the types of transcripts and test scores we need to see.

Class of 2023, SAT and ACT scores should be coming out! If you are in the 1450+ or 32+ range and I haven’t chatted with you yet, please shoot me a DM with your transcript and score breakdowns. DO NOT just reply to this thread, even though I know a handful of you still will…
Still looking for 2023s with a 750+ SAT math or a 32+ ACT math/science! Must be currently enrolled in, or have taken, AP calculus BC and AP physics. Send me your transcript and SAT/ACT score breakdowns!
2025s - Please be aware that I will not watch any film until I have reviewed your updated transcript and SAT/ACT score breakdown. Need to make sure those items look good before we discuss football.
2024s - I promise that I’m not ignoring you. Please just give us a little more time to wrap up the admissions process with our 2023s and then I’m more than happy to discuss academics with you!
Recruits, I beg of you…please do not take dual enrollment classes just to get college credits. Continue to challenge yourselves in the classroom. AP calculus BC, AP chemistry, AP physics, etc. Don’t take the easy route with AP statistics or AP environmental science.
To my recruits: I’ll be going offline for a few days to finish drafting a grant for my dissertation, so I won’t be able to respond to messages. Happy to open chats back up around the middle of next week.
Have a happy and safe 4th of July weekend! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Recruits, it’s very important that when you message coaches, you know exactly what type of institution they represent. Coaches from high-academic schools will not evaluate your film without competitive transcripts.
TLDR: Send me the transcript/ACT-SAT, THEN I’ll watch your film.
Fellas, it’s worth researching schools before reaching out to coaches with the same boiler plate message. You’re going to spend the next four years of your life SOMEWHERE. Make sure the school is a good fit for your academic needs, not just your athletic aspirations.
2023s! Please remember not to take your senior year classes lightly. Continue to challenge yourself in the classroom. It can make all the difference in where you spend your four years in college.
Class of 2024 - please ensure that you’re on pace to take AP calculus BC by your senior year. Statistics and college algebra are NOT the route you want to take. Make your transcript competitive to give yourself the best chance with as many schools as possible!
Still on the lookout for the high-academic guys! If you’re currently taking (or have taken) AP calculus BC, AP physics, and have a 1450+/32+ SAT/ACT, respectively, shoot me a DM!
Recruits, I will say it until I can no longer speak: ENROLL IN THE CLASSES THAT GET YOU INTO COLLEGE! The courses you take in high school have ZERO impact on your career aspirations. If you have questions please reach out to your recruiting coaches, NOT your guidance counselors!
2024s that are currently taking (or have taken) AP calculus AB and AP physics, please send me your transcripts! Never too early to start making that early connection with high-academic schools!
My high-academic 2024s - a few things to highlight in your bios over the next few months: indicate if your GPA is on a 4.0 or 5.0 scale, whether your listed GPA is weighted/unweighted, and to post your ACT/SAT scores ASAP. Links to Hudl highlights are always encouraged!
With a great finish to the
@MITFootball
‘23 regular season, my attention is currently all in on the recruiting trail. Still on the hunt for high-academic 2024s (32+ ACT or 1450+ SAT) and graduate transfers (3.5+ GPA). Don’t hesitate to reach out!

2023s, there’s still time to be evaluated by our coaching staff! Send us your transcripts, ACT/SAT score breakdowns, and AP exams!
#RollTech
#WinStudyRepeat
Keep sending me those transcripts and ACT/SAT breakdowns, recruits! I’d much rather have a flooded inbox that takes me days to sift through than nothing at all!
2024s - Some things to remember as you get farther along in the recruiting game: have a screenshot of your transcript and SAT/ACT scores always available. Also, do not simply post your semester/core GPA on your profile. Be transparent with your academics.
Real exchanges I’ve had with recruits: “Great job this semester, [recruit’s name]! You still need to take AP calculus BC and AP physics C for MIT admissions, but you’re on the right track.” “Thanks, Coach! I signed up for AP statistics and AP environmental science next year!” 😐
Officially wrapped up recruiting for the Class of 2024 and prospective graduate transfers! I will not be able to evaluate anyone in these two groups going forward. Just waiting on admissions decisions…looking forward to the next few months!

, please complete our recruiting questionnaire to get on our radar. Be sure to include updated transcripts!
Do NOT wait until your Senior Year to take the SAT/ACT! Luck tends to favor the prepared. Plan ahead and schedule exams during your Sophomore and Junior Years.
Early Action decisions likely being announced within the next week or so! Looking forward to giving some good news to those 2023s who worked hard in the classroom and have been diligent with our staff and team throughout this grueling admissions process.

I second this. HOWEVER, a 4.0 GPA with a schedule filled with simple electives holds much less value than a 3.8 GPA comprised of AP classes. Push yourselves in the classroom!
Class of 2025 currently enrolled in precalculus, please start chatting with your counselors about taking AP calculus AB and AP physics in your junior year. It will make a world of difference when you go to take your SAT/ACT exams.
For my 2023 guys: it looks like the issue from my account has resolved, but I have lost a lot of our conversations. I have a busy day in the cancer biology lab, but I will be reaching back out this weekend to recollect transcripts, test scores, etc.

The D1 or bust mentality will have a lot of athletes sitting at home next fall. The
#1
goal is to go to college and get a degree at an affordable price. Don’t be that kid at the barbershop saying oh man I would’ve been blah blah blah all because you wanna big time small schools.
My 2023s! The portal to begin your application to MIT is now open. Please plan ahead and begin working on those supplementary items. Don't wait until the last minute! The Early Action deadline is November 1st.

Just a little effort every few days is all it takes to make sure you’re eating right. Quality training starts in the kitchen, recruits! Talk to your folks, cafeteria workers, trainers, whomever! Get the RIGHT nutrition for you to achieve your goals!
Recruits, classes like AP calculus and AP physics should always be taken over AP statistics and AP environmental science. Continue to push yourself academically through your senior year!
My 2023s - If you have not verified your senior schedule with me, please do so ASAP. Need to ensure you aren't taking statistics and environmental science.

We are currently all wrapped up with the Class of 2024. Class of 2025 - NOW you may begin sending us transcripts and SAT/ACT score breakdowns. Do not send film until those items have been reviewed.
My 2024s, the application portal at MIT is now closed. Really appreciate everyone reaching out and expressing interest in our program. Looking forward to supporting our prospective student athletes throughout the Regular Action process! Pi Day just around the corner!

Reasons come before the fact; excuses come after the fact. Set yourself up for success and don’t find yourself making excuses for when things don’t work out.

2024s - There’s still time to connect with our coaching staff to begin the recruiting process! Looking for high-academic guys with a 32+ ACT or a 1450+ SAT. Link to our online recruiting questionnaire is linked in my bio!
My 2024 guys! Just a reminder to make sure you secure updated copies of your transcript after each quarter and semester this academic year. It’s your responsibility to share those with coaches recruiting you, not your counselor or high school coaches.
AP classes >>> Duel Enrollment, AICE, IB, OnRamps. High academic guys, please keep this in mind. Always opt for the standardized curricula so that colleges can gauge the strength of your classes and your proficiency in the material.

led all programs with 22 members in the 2022 NFF Hampshire Honor Society!
The number ties Yale (in 2018) for the single-year mark for most honorees from one school

Had a college coach tell me personally the reason Mississippi kids don’t get recruited as heavily is because of our rating in education. Unless you are just a freak athlete guys you better get to work on them books and take pride in it! GPA & ACT play a huge role!
