Speaking as someone who saw KD work (Hs Teammate) He didnt work on this until in the NBA. He worked on his T MAC and 1-2 dribble combos UNTIL mastered. These “clowns” you are referring to are referencing development. You don’t get to this until you master what he mastered.

I would like to see a list of guys in the world who have mastered what he mastered. Young kids are skipping steps. So working on 8 dribble combos before you can learn actual shoot of a pull up is counter productive. Learning euros before making R/L layups is counterproductive

RIP to Anthony Doodie Lewis. Great man that changed many many lives. Changed a lot of my freinds lives. Will forever be remembered for that man he was.
