Good luck to all the Wisconsin HS football programs beginning the state playoffs tonight. The road to a state championship begins now!

Have been working on a coverage manual for the last several days. Driven around teaching the quarterback. Any coaches who would like a copy, hit me up!

To all members of the Northern Michigan University community, we want to wish you a Happy Thanksgiving! Incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this program

Offensive coaches, before you tell your QB to โPick a Sideโ ask yourself if that is really a fair coaching point. QBs at every level can struggle with this. Give your guys a clean progression!
Congratulations to all of the WI high school programs that made it to the state championship. Incredible accomplishment! Looking forward to getting the next great Wisconsin Wildcat to NMU

I see a lot of coaches drawing up pass concepts without using the running back. The back can complete your triangle and help end your progression. Donโt forget him

Young QBs, want to succeed in the fall? Get your WRs and THROW and CATCH full speed routes, and learn to beat the air in the offseason. It will pay off on gameday!
This is an epic Davante Adams quote on what he tells young receivers to work on during the offseason, but my goodness, does this also apply to life, in general, in the social media age.

RECRUITS: Twitter can be such a powerful resource in recruiting. It is an easy way for coaches to gather A TON of information quickly. Here are a few helpful tips!
A THREAD:
6. If youโre excited about a school, post about it!
Getting recruiting letters in the mail? Going on a visit? Did you get offered? Being recruited is an exciting time and you have earned the right to be excited
An investment in coaching is an investment in teaching. Every player at their core wants the same 3 things
They want to be taught
They want to know you care
They want to succeed
Awesome insight from one of the best teachers I know
@23botter
Invest in good coaches first!
Invest in systems that work!
Then build something bigger with more toys!
Our consulting programs are perfect for high schools. We teach and train YOUR coaches!

Former Wisconsin QBs coach Jon Budmayr talks to The Athletic about what he learned from Paul Chryst, Chryst's advice on the Colorado State job, Graham Mertz's future, Jack Coan's transfer and why he missed two weeks last season. Lots of good stuff in here.
We are down to the last week to donate! Thanks to the generosity of all of you as well as our corporate sponsors we have raised over $90,000. Please consider making a small donation to

Me: โI feel like we havenโt seen Adam Thielen catch a ball yetโ
My girlfriend: โyes we have. Two plays ago, it was a play action and he was the second readโ
Me:
"My dad was somebody that believed in me first. That's who I do it for. I just want to continue to chase my dreams and my goals knowing my dad is with me."

7. This one is for the coaches
You donโt need to know everything about Twitter. Teach your players that everything they do/say builds their personal brand. Help them use Twitter as a RESOURCE!!!
5. Post your workout videos!
Any football/sport related content you post is bonus to your highlight tape. For QBs, post a throwing session. For OL/DL show us some movement skills. It will help us build a more complete profile of who you are as a player!
3. Link your Hudl page to your Bio
You donโt have to link a SPECIFIC highlight, but link your main page to your bio. Be sure to update highlights early as well!
How do you break a coverageโs numbers advantage? Have multiple routes break in the same direction. Turns a 4 on 3 into a 3 on 3. Cut the Mike out of the play. Great concept!
really great clip of Kyler Murray's footwork in the pocket.
He's trying to buy enough time to let
#13
Christian Kirk's Sail route work open and has to move off his initial platform.
Instead of squeezing in a downfield throw late, just gets to the checkdown.
1. Make sure your name is spelled CORRECTLY!
Using a nickname can make it tougher to find your page, especially for programs that donโt have the manpower to search for hours!
4. Follow some coaches
Our pages are a mix of coaching material and personal content - this is supposed to be a fun and easy way to communicate when you canโt come to campus. Hit us up!
Iโm not one to critique players/coaches in the NFL but protection should dictate a hot throw to 88/21. Set the slide to protect QB backside in a scat protection, QB/route runners own everything frontside. Have to beat the LB working to cut the hot
Arguably the most important piece of this play is that they use the RB to the pull the
#3
player (Mike LB) and open the stick. Use the running back!!!
#RunningBacksAreReceiversToo
2. Put your info in your Twitter bio. Helpful info includes:
-Height
-Weight
-GRAD YEAR
-Position
-School
-Other sports you play
Think of your bio as your elevator pitch to a college coach
@alltwentytwo
If you run the Mike through the A gap, it could pull the double off and let 54 run over the top and spill, rather than pace the gap as the cutback player. Makes everything go flat quickly
