This sort of behaviour is completely unacceptable and I’d encourage anyone who witnesses it to take note of licence plate & report to Police Scotland on 101. Council staff have changed layout to prevent recurrence but drivers should abide by the law.

It's a real loss that Edinburgh no longer has a public cycle hire scheme. We need to urgently put a replacement in place, and find out what went wrong here. A gap in provision will leave many people, who want to cycle, in the lurch.

Taxi driver gesticulated at me for using cycle contraflow on Queen Charlotte St today. Contraflow has been in place for mebbe a decade or more? I got council to install these large blue signs in 2012 after getting complaints fr cyclists getting sworn at. Yet still an issue. 😔
