It’s been a blast working with the team
@skarperofficial
over the last couple of years! I’m so excited to bring you this ground-breaking eBike drive system set to revolutionise the world of eBikes. It’s simple – clip on, cycle off. Find out more at
2012 Olympic training camp in Newport, nervously watching Bradley about to seal Britain’s first ever Tour de France victory. Little did we know someone in that group would be winning that race 6 years later..

Back home after 5 days working for the BBC at the Commonwealth Games. My little girl says “I’d forgotten how big you are Daddy, you’re smaller on TV”.
Think I need to show her the Father Ted cow scene..
A German guy just approached me at the airport to ask if I was in the band ‘Nightwish’. I’d never heard of them so googled to see which one he must’ve thought I was. There are no good options... 🤦🏼♂️😂
“All the gym sessions, all the road sessions, all the track session, all the interval sessions, all the hard days, that’s what got me through the last 50 metres.”

in 2012,

did this.
Well I hope you all stayed up to watch that!! 😮👏🏻👏🏻The most incredible keirin I’ve ever seen, won by Britain’s most successful Olympian ever - JASON KENNY!! Proud of you mate

Well done mate, proud of you; Britain’s most successful Olympian of all time!! We had some battles on the track but we had a laugh off it 😁

Anyone else noticed on
@GoZwift
how many people type away on the public messages, telling the world how hard they’re pushing, or they’re ‘on the limit’? Here’s a tip; if you’re able to type you aren’t at your limit! 😉😂👍🏻

We applaud the genius of Peter, who navigated the difficulty of sculpting a face in cake by choosing cyclist Sir Chris Hoy as his Showstopper - complete with helmet and goggles! 👏👏👏

It’s been emotional, it’s been brilliant fun & it’s been uplifting. I’m so lucky to have been part of the incomparable
@BBCSport
team & have the opportunity to talk about the sport I still love as much now as I did back in the day. I’m off to bed! 😴
I’m not saying the walls in my hotel room in Japan are thin, but when the guy next door sneezed and I said “bless you”, I heard a “thank you” afterwards.
Almost there.. just the closing ceremony and the highlights show left! 🥴 I’m running on fumes, 30hrs I’ve been up now with a 90min sleep this morning to break it up, but I’ve loved every second of this. Best job in the world (other than actually competing of course!😉)
Stood for a good few seconds dangling my dripping wet hands in what I thought was a hand drier at the airport loos until I heard an old Japanese man laughing. I realised it was a seat to sit your baby in while you wash your hands.. 🤦🏼♂️😂
Stung by a wasp last night on a very private part of my body, while I slept. Bear in mind this is what my ankle looked like a couple of years ago when I was stung on my foot, I’ll let you use your imagination as to what I look like right now.. 🤢😂🤦🏼♂️
Feeling nostalgic watching all the amazing Tokyo performances today, so decided to wear my Beijing2008
@TeamGB
shorts to the gym. Heavy squats with 13 year old non-stretch fabric was always going to end in tears (pronunciation works either way..) 🤦🏼♂️😂
Finally, a shoutout to all the athletes whose dream it was to be out competing in Tokyo, but for whatever reason didn’t make it. Must have been a tough 16days when the whole world seemed to be talking about the Games. I hope you can channel the frustration & use it positively 💪🏻
There’s nothing quite like seeing pure joy and exhilaration on your child’s face!.. I feel so lucky to have been able to design these bikes and privileged to see my wee boy riding them. The rate he’s growing, he’ll need the next size up very soon!.. 🙈🚴🏻♀️💨😁

Delighted and humbled to receive this award today, quite overwhelming really when you consider how many other nominees there must be in this category. Congratulations to all the other finalists, thank you for inspiring me to work harder and best of luck next year.

A decade ago today I won my third gold of the Beijing Olympics. So many incredible things have happened since then it feels like a lifetime ago, but I'll never forget that feeling as I crossed the line...
The effort showed on Mark Stewart’s face after his gold medal ride. Last time I looked like this was when I stepped barefoot on one of my wee boy’s bits of Lego..

Final day of the Tokyo Olympics! My working day starts in just over an hour at 2am and finishes at 4pm. But it’s fine because I managed 40mins sleep… 🤦🏼♂️😂🥴Just as well I love this job! 😁

Some deadlifts today for a change. The lockdown beard is definitely adding a bit of strength. And I’ve noticed my BBQing skills improving too since I started growing it..

Barcelona has an amazing school cycle bus every Friday. Wherever you are in the world, few kids will see this and think “I’d like to be driven to school instead”.
When the project started there were just five children taking part. Change can happen fast.
Guy comes up to me on the train..
Him: Can I take a picture of you?
Me: Eh.. yeah sure
Him: *takes the photo*
Him: Thanks. What’s your name, so I can tag you on Instagram?

Anyone else noticed fewer close passes when out on your bike since the change in the Highway Code? Could be a coincidence, but I’ve just had an amazing couple of hours on the road and not a single scary moment! Long may it continue 🤞🏻
Why am I not allowed to care about this campaign that aims to close the gender gap? The interviews I did yesterday were alongside 2 females who ride bikes and they gave their perspectives. As well as myself, LauraKenny, ShanazeReade, Jo Rowsell have been backing the campaign too.

That’s 12 miles more than most people, great effort! No quick fixes unfortunately, but it won’t take long to start noticing an improvement if you can get out once or twice a week. Then fun really starts. Keep it going 👍🏻
It’s incredibly frustrating when newspapers print deliberately misleading headlines to grab people’s attention. I’m pleased to see The Telegraph has apologised and amended their article printed last week, acknowledging that at no point did I say those words.
Ya wee BEAUTY!!! Had to switch off my phone to watch the match on itv+1 as I missed the kick off. Worth the 38 years of waiting!

Big day for Callum! The transition from balance bike to his first pedal bike! Once he gets the hang of the brakes and bigger wheels then the pedals will go on.

The ‘Olympic Effect’! Popped home to do a quick session on the wattbike and had a few extra watts in the legs after being inspired by those big sprints on the velodrome! 😂
