It treats indigenous people not as individuals with agency but as a monolithic collective that speaks as one. It assumes that statist actions are the way to improve the lives of indigenous people.

By classifying everyone as left or right is really trying to simply issues that are more nuanced. Not everyone thinks they are rescuing victims, most just think it’s fair to allow them a say before laws are made just for them.
