Immigrated here at 15.
Went to college on a partial scholarship.
Saved 20K in 4 years working thru college at restaurant. (5K a year which basically was not my tips)
Graduated, moved back home with my parents & put in all that money + loans from PayPal credit at 0% to buy
@LiliInvests
Just got back from a Europe trip which was amazing but this weekend I was in Lexington, KY & had the most incredible time at the Castle & Key distillery.
Sometimes just enjoying nature with a good whiskey is all you need ๐
Last week I became a meme on social media.
And not the fun kind ๐
Fat
Ugly
Privileged
Stinky / Smelly
Kill yourself
Greedy
Words like these were used by thousands of accounts online to spew hate.
I took the last few days to process what happened.
At first, I debated whether
I am remodeling a bathroom.
Contractor just quoted a 20K labor only cost in Arkansas. (Need a bathtub removed & new shower area)
On top of that, I would pay for vanity, shower door etc.
Am I crazy or does that sound really expensive?!

Support me, loves me & letโs me live my dream.
Marrying the right person is a ULTIMATE life hack.
Long time ago, a family member told me no one will buy food from an Indian girl in a small American German town.
I made sure to send him a copy of this news article.

I have seen companies write in their contract after work is completed, we will automatically run the card for the remaining balance.
Might be worth asking a lawyer how you can implement that / making it a part of your policies.
I used to believe you needed these 3 things to be a โrealโ business:
- Lots of employees
- Big corporate office
- Big corporate clients
And then I realized I need to get my head out of the sand.
Me + a couple of VAs can rule the world
I am *FINALLY* under contract for my first hotel so I attended AAHOA con earlier this month to hear how independent hotels are crushing it!
And today - I am breaking down all the strategies that were discussed -most of these things are FREE- including:
โจHow to get more direct
10 years ago, I leased a 800 sq ft art gallery & converted into a sandwich shop.

Own several STRs
50 STRs under management
Manage 5 boutique hotels
Bought my first hotel
Never underestimate how once decision can change your life.
Everyone wants to get rich with real estate
No one wants to:
- Analyze 5 deals a day
- Pick up the phone & call brokers/wholesalers etc
- Learn to manage remotely so you can buy anywhere in the country
This isnโt a get rich overnight.
Learn the game, respect the hustle.
$500 for tree / debris removal at an STR
Does this sound reasonable or is this pricey?
I am always surprised by tree removal prices but also donโt know anything about this biz.

For the first 3 years in real estate, I refused to invest in masterminds.
Did everything on my own & grew to 6 properties.

We make all of our STRs dog friendly.

Ever had a terrifying flight?
Today, as my I flew back from my Europe trip, I was really excited to share my husband first business class trip, how we did it etc.
Except midway thru the flight, as I was using the restroom, the seat belt sign came on. I was like oh huh.

I grew up in a middle-class family
My mom can easily outwork me, physically, even today.ย
Part of my drive comes from wanting to be a better daughter for them.
I am grateful for all the tough lessons.
They said I wasnโt fit to be a restaurant manager
So I opened my own restaurant
They said I didnโt have enough experience to work in real estate
So I went & bought my own.
People will ALWAYS say no.

Immigrant moms are truly something special.
My mom moved to the United States in 2009, in her 40s.
Like a lot of immigrants, she doesnโt speak the best English & and she didnโt have a work visa so she wasnโt able to work.
She volunteered at the library, school, front desk,

I sold sandwiches & the only person who could sell sandwiches.
In the same center, another person started selling sandwiches.
I complained.

Everyone told me you need millions of dollars to open a restaurant & no one would rent to a 21 year old.
I did it with 20K + 0% Paypal credit
Did a concept that was easy to launch - sandwiches
Was it risky? Yes
Still better than working for corporate America....

I have been wanting to get into the boutique hotel space in November 2021.
In Nov 2023, I found my first deal to manage.

Yup - kind of drives me insane when guru say I make all this money because I drive a beat up car.
I build passive income & wealth to have a great quality of life. If not, whatโs the point of it all?
Most hotel operators get burnt out.
Real estate investors want to buy hotels but don't know how to run them.
That's where I step in.
Picked up 4 boutique hotels to manage with this.
10 years ago, I turned down 3 job offers & opened a little sandwich shop.
Today, I am spending a Wednesday drinking coffee & working on my latest cooking project.

This was mine. I grew up here.

And in the hospitality business, we make it damn near impossible for anyone to do that.
One of my cleaners called me today.

Her: โOh nothing - everything is good. I called to say thank you.โ

Her: โItโs been a slow month in the business so appreciate you having all your properties being booked."
Anyone else do this?
A few weekends ago, I paid $45 for a ticket where you self tour luxury homes in your market.
One day event.
They had about 10 homes & I hit up about 6.
Unsure about the exact business model but even if they sold 300 tickets - thatโs $13,500 for one day.
