Yesterday we bid a fond farewell to our friend and colleague Dr Rodney Meek - Consultant Anaesthesiologist & Intensive Care Consultant who has been part of the CUH family since 1987. He will be missed across all disciplines and we wish him all the best for the future.
Best wishes to Pat McCluskey, ANP Wound Care on her retirement today. Unfortunately, Pat didn't get the send off she deserved, but everyone in CUH wishes her all the best!!!

The Frailty Intervention Therapy Team (FITT) began a 6 month pilot in CUH in January 2019. The FITT aims for early therapy identification, assessment and intervention of frail adults over 75 years to facilitate safe and early discharges from the ED/AMAU settings

As full visiting restrictions are in place in CUH, the hospital shop will have a Shop Trolley Service between 9am - 11am. You can ring 086 - 0220695 to request and prepay for items to be delivered to a family member.

CUH switchboard is receiving a high volume of calls we need to keep phone lines open as much as possible. Outpatient appointments today are cancelled. Patients will be contacted if there are further cancellations. CUH can also be contact via the contact form on the CUH website.
Radiation Therapy staff celebrated the first patient treated in the Glandore Centre today. Thanks to everyone involved!! This is only the beginning, the number of patients treated in the Glandore Centre will grow over the coming months -

Patient waiting times have reduced and there has been a high level of patient satisfaction reported.

Our Peer Vaccinators were busy this morning! They have already provided 200 vaccines this morning and over the last few weeks have vaccinated 65% of CUH!! But they wont stop there.... the Flu Vaccine is available in the afternoon again from 2pm - 7.30pm in the CRC.
