It was a pleasure joining @SDGE as we planted one of over 300 trees in the Allied Gardens Community yesterday. These trees provide long-term environmental benefits to help capture carbon, energy savings provided by shade, storm water runoff reduction, and cleaner air.

This morning, I joined @shawnjvandiver , @AsmChrisWard , @ColinParent , @JoelAndersonCA , @shanahazan , refugees, veterans, and other leaders to call for Congress to immediately pass the Afghan Adjustment Act. Afghans who fought alongside US troops deserve to be treated with dignity.

A bike sharrow is a road marking that promotes safety by encouraging proper driving and cycling behavior in situations where motorists and bikers share the road. After slurry sealing Del Cerro Blvd earlier this summer, city crews painted sharrows, making the road safer.

I’m in close contact with SD Fire-Rescue about the brush fire along Navajo Road. I am told it is roughly 1.5 acres, there is no structural damage, and our engine and helicopter resources are managing it. Thank you to our @SDFD @sdlocal145 for their quick and great work. -RAC

Tourism is a major source of tax revenue needed for everything we do, from road repairs to fully staffing our departments. That's why I'm an outspoken champion for the World Design Capital 2024, which will be a big driver of tourism to our region.

This week, my staff and I toured the Riverwalk development in Mission Valley to learn more about the progress of the project. We learned about the incredible amenities, pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, and housing that the project will bring to Mission Valley.
