I joke about my love for #TheEagles , but in March of 2006, on the night I lost my daddy- I had one song playing on repeat as I layed I the hospital praying for a miracle. The song was “Hole in the World.” It was fitting, and the only song that gave me any comfort. It still does.

Every December 7th, I think about my grandfather. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor. He once told me each time he smelled diesel fuel, it took him back. He married my grandmother on December 7th, 1946. #NeverForget

I have a friend in Arlington who has been without power for 24 hours now. She has sick kids (stomach bug) on top of it. I’ve received emails from people who’ve lost power for around 30 hours. They deserve better answers from @ERCOT_ISO . Not PR-approved talking points.

It makes me so happy our old neighborhood carries on this golf tournament in my mom's memory. @ChildrensTumor is doing incredible work with research. One day there will be a cure, and no family will have to suffer the devestating impact of Neurofibromatosis.
