You get TOO TIRED in the afternoon.
It affects your focus, mood, and productivity.
The crash sucks and you need to be more energized and mentally alert. Here’s what to do based on my research and 20yrs coaching high-achievers 🧵
- the worlds largest studies show that resetting yourself (short break) every 50 minutes is key. Stand, breathe, move, reset your intention— doesn’t matter what, just do a break for 5-7mins to reset. Our study of high achievers in 190 countries showed the top 15% in every
Know what LEVERS you have at your disposal:
- all energy now, in this moment, is a reflection of your sleep, movement, food, self-talk, perceived progress, and social energy from the last 72hrs, piling up into a mood. Change those and change your ongoing state. Those are the
Don’t complain; act.
Don’t criticize; cheerlead.
Don’t conform; live your TRUTH. Don’t be selfish; serve.
Don’t assume; explore.
Don’t take the easy path; strive for growth and an extraordinary life.
Don’t expect everybody to cheer you on. It’s OK if they don’t get your ambition – in fact that’s normal. Don’t try to fight their opinion, or change their minds with such need. Your dream is your dream. Work on that, not explaining yourself.
Never limit the vision you have for life based on your current circumstances. Raise your ambition and deepen your discipline. You are more capable, imaginative and strong than you give yourself credit for.
- for turning your brain on, you need a significant break at 1:30pm. Almost everyone does. You absolutely do given your goal to be energized and sharp late into the day, as all my clients do to.
STEP ONE: meditate or nap 20minutes at 1:30pm, totally up to you, followed by
Q:
I’m worrried I don’t have the experience to get started.
A:
You got your head on backwards: Experience only comes by getting started! Stop worrying about ur past or credentials and start creating and contributing now. You can find reasons to be inadequate or u can GET AT IT
STEP TWO:
Then have a green tea and:
- 100mg of rhodiola,
- 300mg of alpha gpc,
- 100mg gingko,
- 10mg PQQ
- 100mg magnesium-l-threonate
- 300mg maca
- shot of extra virgin olive oil
This is “brendon burchard’s brain protocol”.
Double those dosages if above 200lbs. These are
I've simply learned that you can't overcome struggle if you hate the struggle. So anticipate it, and honor the struggles of achieving your dreams as part of the process.
Don't complain; engage. Don't be surprised; expect it and meet it with your highest self.
Life is so short. I learned that, luckily, when I was 19 and got “mortality motivation” after a car accident. Throw yourself fully into your day, your relationships, your mission. Be more…
If you don’t wake up every day excited and committed to tackling major problems, then it's time to put the damn phone down and notice a world in dire need.
This philosophy is how I’ve written 6 bestselling books, a weekly newsletter since 2006, and filmed over 20 online courses taken by over 3 million people in 150 countries worldwide. progress not perfection. Just consistency, trust in the creative process, the spirit of service.

This is a new take. I’ve taught 3-2-1 Sleep since 2008 as this:
3-2-1 Sleep Formula:
3 hours before bed, no food.
2 hours before bed, no work.
1 hour before bed, no screens.

Just because I do not agree with your point and I passionately argue from my perspective does not diminish you, our relationship or your credibility or worth. So don’t shut down or take things so personally or feel lack of respect or let ego close your mind.
No matter your position, circumstances, or opportunities in life, you have the freedom of mind to choose how you experience, interpret, and, ultimately, shape your world.
One of the greatest acts of human courage is to open yourself up to the world, demonstrate exactly who you are, do exactly what you desire of life without the need for power, validation or love in return.
I have devastating news. Dave Hollis passed away this weekend. He was 47.
Dave was a good man, a loving father, an inspiring teacher, and a dear friend.
We spent a lot of time together. I loved his caring and empathy, his energy and enthusiasm, his vulnerability in sharing his
You didn’t *lose* motivation. It’s not something you “have” or don’t. You SUMMON and GENERATE it. You spend *time* THINKING about what matters, what will make you feel excited and fulfilled. So you didn’t “lose” it. You lost your time focusing on things that matter to you.
If you don’t know what your goals are for next year, that’s the sign that YOU are finally the goal.
It’s time to care for YOU,
to strengthen YOU,
to build up YOUR internal world,
to find YOUR REAL SELF,
to free yourself, to get YOU,
to bring forth YOUR powers at another level.
I don’t think many people are recognizing how difficult a time people are still having after these last 18 months of crazy.
I spend my days coaching and teaching people from all walks of life in 70+ countries aground the world.
It’s tough vibe right now. So I wrote this for u

You can change.
You can improve.
You can win more days.
You can get stronger.
You can choose to make each day a GrowthDay.
You’re not locked or done.
Your losses are not your legacy, your love is.
Open up.
Open up.
Open to a new way
Awaken to a new day and
“Why can’t you just be happy with what you have?” Those who say this don’t understand high performers. You can be wildly happy with what you have, and still strive to grow and contribute. So don’t ever let anyone discourage you from your ambition for a better life.
- make sure you’re connecting with an awesome human(s) around 2-3pm and you’ll amp up. Always reward yourself with talking with someone you love to talk with in the afternoon. Humans are a power up.
That big decision you’ve been contemplating? Make it. That dream you want to pursue? Do it. Nothing happens until the next step. Believe. Be bold. Go. Get it.
Q:
What happens if I try so hard and do my best and still fail and have to start over?
A:
Then you start over. But now you are smarter; you’ve discovered what works and what does not. Now you are stronger; you survived. Now you are ready; you’ve been tested to see if you want it
If the size of your dreams and ambitions are freaking you out, then you are on the right path! Fear not your greatness, for power is given to those with purpose.

It’s okay if you don’t agree with every opinion and stance of another—you can still listen and discuss and learn through a lens of openness and respect. Disagreement does not have to close your ears or make you mean.
I’m always AMAZED that people have the TIME to complain, spread hate or negativity. A friend was saying, “I haven’t heard you complain in 15 years.” I’m sure I do but in general I’m like, I’m too dang busy BUILDING!!Who has time for that negativity?
There are people who are luckier, wealthier, and more skilled and beautiful than you. This does not matter at all in living your life, being happy or fulfilling your potential.

If you let every annoying incident upset you, then you become an annoyed person. I don’t think anyone puts that on their vision board: “be an annoyed human.” So you have to start doing the work of being present without judgment and attachment or your fate is slave to reaction.
Q:
What if my family is not supporting my dreams?
A:
That’s not your family’s job. That dream was sown in YOUR heart. It’s your burden and opportunity to cultivate it, not theirs. Besides, their support is not a prerequisite for you doing the inevitable WORK to make it happen.
What if you took a breath and you chose, right now, to let go of all the frustrations of today? Take that breath. Give yourself that gift. Enter the evening free.
Do not be passive in your personal development. Passivity is the lock on the cage of mediocrity. You must break it. You must engage with full intent to grow again; you must make a plan to learn more; you must stretch to higher levels of being and service; you must be bold.
In all the chaos and hurry, do not forget to notice the beauty and miracle of this world. Slow down. Observe. Be aware. Allow presence and awe to come back into your life.
type YES 👇 if 2019 is going to be YOUR year. Ready yourself to be bolder, to swing hard at big ideas regardless of the strikeouts and the jeers. Dream big and play big this year. You do…

It’s completely okay you are still figuring things out. Stop being so hard on yourself about that. Because you’ll be figuring things out until the very second after you die. Life is learning. It’s always adapting, growing and shifting toward ever expanding potential. Thank God.🙏

Q:
How do you make a big decision when you are totally unsure?
A:
Start with the fact that life is short and you’re going to die one day. Then prioritize what brings true joy, connection and fulfillment -and work backwards from there. Mortality motivation makes decisions easier.
Don’t be so quick to discount other people’s pain by just telling them to just suck it up and go hustle harder. Sometimes the breakthrough isn’t your advice but that you’re actually empathetic and listening.
