With the recent influx of followers (Thank you all!!!), I thought it would be good time to share a little bit about me, who I am, and what I do: I was a multi sport athlete who decided to go all in on track after sustaining several injuries, the worst of which being an ACL, MCL,…

People are baffled that such an athlete exists outside of a ball sport. Let me tell you that the sport is made of freak athletes and if you took 2 min to watch each event in a major track & field championship, your mind would be blown.

The feet and ankles are the base of athleticism If they’re fragile, the whole body suffers. If they’re strong, responsive, and durable… the whole body will thank you. What’re your favorite exercises to build up the feet and ankles? Let me know in the comments 👇

If you want to get faster — 1) Sprint & Plyo work 2-3x/wk 2) Get a good lift in after sprinting 3) Honor your recovery days between 4) Stop doing more for the sake of doing more 5) Make lifestyle decisions that support your goals It really is that simple.

Here we go again with misrepresenting non-track top speed with track average speed. 23.23MPH for a fraction of a second is not the same as averaging 23.35MPH for an entire 100m & having a peak speed of 27MPH+. Please stop trying to compare to track. It’s apples and oranges.

Posture matters -- It affects biomechanics, length-tension relationships, and how stress is distributed across the body. This doesn't just apply to static standing or slow walking. Think about how it impacts an athlete as they're moving through space at high velocities.

Acceleration determines how quickly we reach our ceiling. Max speed determines ceiling and speed reserve. Speed Endurance determines how long we can stay near that ceiling. As always, much more to performance than any single trait. Train accordingly.

The 90/90 hamstring test — An easy way to assess hamstring length. When you get competitive athletes learning they’re "deficient" in something, it can be very humbling. Knee slightly bent to fully straight would be considered full range of motion. How far can you get?

My mom is 48 and has struggled with depression and anxiety, among other things, her entire life Today, we took her dress shopping for our wedding and she felt so special all day I haven’t seen her this joyful since I was a kid To see her glowing like this makes my heart happy

Beautiful hurdling displayed by one of the best in the world, @ayemallett He embraced the basics in high school & continues to hammer them today as a pro at the age of 28 Aaron credits executing the fundamentals as being a major contributor to his hurdling success

Many quick to judge this— “Asinine” “Horrible” “What the f**k is this?” While potentially unfamiliar… it might be more fruitful to ask questions about a World Record holder’s holistic training program rather than jump to conclusions.

I will reiterate in simpler terms — Athletes need to prioritize recovery and stop working themselves into the ground

Ankle Dribbling — • Imaginary hurdle at ankle bone • Clear hurdle on the backside • Allow knee to open on the front • Actively swipe foot back under hurdle These simple cues and visuals have helped me de-program over reliance of A-mechanics and teach athletes how to cycle.

15 year old came to me 7 weeks ago with a 60m PR of 7.78s. We have trained two days per week with a 90% focus on mechanics & execution, 10% focus on workouts. Today he ran 7.31s in a 60m time trial. Never underestimate the value of optimal movement.

Sprinting for hamstring resilience — If regularly ending up with hamstring tweaks and pulls during practices and competitions, there’s a chance it’s due to lack of task readiness. Try to hit >95% max velocity a handful of times each week to reduce risk of injury.

Tough one for the sprint crew today: 200+200 @ 1s slower than PR 200m, 2min rest, finish on guts 15min rest 150+150 @ go for it, 2min rest, repeat When your body fails you, find a way to hold your form. Once speed decays, form and guts is all you’ve got to stay competitive.

There’s a common idea hills are strictly a GPP tool & detrimental in latter parts of the season. Correlation ≠ causation, BUT @realshellyannfp • Hill sprints 6/14/22 • 100m🥇 7/17/22 @fkerley99 • Hill sprints 6/30/22 • 100m🥇 7/16/22 Champions are forged on the hill!🏆
